Chapter 17

Raph's POV

It was five months today that Tammy and I have been dating. Taffy phoned me and asked if I could come to the park. I asked sensei an he said it was fine, so I left.

Today it was chilly outside even though the sun was shining. I was even a little cold in my sweater, but I wasn't going back for a jacket. It'd take me way too long to get there.

Once I got to the park, I immediately searched for Tammy. There she was, swinging on the swing. I walked up and took the empty swing beside her.

"Hey," I said smiling.

"Hey," she said with a weak smile.

"What's wrong?" I asked, knowing she wasn't herself.

"Nothing, I just have a little bit of a headache," she answered.

"You scared me there, I thought something terrible happened,"

"Yeah nothing terrible happened," she said.

"I got you something," I said holding my hands behind my back handing her a box of chocolates.

"I can't except those," she said.

"And why not?" I asked curiously.

"Because I...I didn't get you anything," she answered.

"It's okay, take them," I said giving her no choice but to take the chocolates.

"No really I can't," she said and stopped smiling. The reason I asked you to come is because..."

She took a long pause.

"I came to break up with you," Tammy said looking at the ground.

I didn't say anything. I just looked at her and waited for he to say she was joking. I really hoped she was. But by the expression on her face, I knew she wasn't.

"I'm sorry Raph," she said finally looking up for the ground.

"It's okay, not all things work out," I said even though I wasn't okay.

We stayed silent for a moment.

"I should be going," I explained an got up.

"Bye Raph, Tammy said also getting up.

"Bye Tammy,"

She hugged me and I hugged her back. I didn't wanna let go of her, but what choice did I have? Finally she let go and started to walk away. As she left, she waved, an I did the same back to her.

I wasn't expecting this, nor was I ready for it. The last thing I knew I was playing the drums for her, and she was asking me to come over. Now on our five moth anniversary we're breaking up! I already know it won't be easy getting over her. I still cared for her.

After a while, I decided to walk back. What started off a good day, ended off a bad day.
