Chapter 46

Raph's POV

Today was the night before prom. I feel bad because I still haven't told Hannah that I can't go to prom with her...

I know that she'll probably be mad at me for waiting for the last minute to tell her. I tried to tell her, but it's too hard.

Since school had just finished an hour ago, I decided to text her.

*I need to tell you something. I'm really sorry about this, but I can't make it to prom tomorrow. I was really looking forwards to it and I wish I could go but I just can't. I'm sorry for leaving it to the last minute and I understand if you're mad, but I hope you can forgive me.*

I really wish I could go, but there is no way that Splinter will let me. It was a few minutes later when I got a text back from her.

*It's okay*

I knew she really didn't mean it. She's probably mad and didn't know what to say.

I just kinda stayed in my room for the night. I didn't know what to do. It's just so boring to be grounded. The party we had was fun, but I'm starting to wish we never had it. Prom would be a lot more fun then a party.

That night I had troubles sleeping. I don't know if it's because I can't go, or because I let Hannah down. Maybe it's the two if them.

~The next morning~

I woke up early the next day. I'm not sure why since I didn't fall asleep until 1:00am last night. Six hours of sleep isn't enough for me.

I got up and went to the living room. Donnie was already up and sitting on the couch.

"What are you doing up so early?" Donnie asked me as I walked down the stairs.

"What am I doing up? What about you?" I asked Donnie.

"I had a bad sleep," he explained.

I was surprised. I thought I was the only one.

"Yeah me too," I told him.

I took a seat on the chair next to the couch. I wasn't hungry yet, but still a bit tiered.

"Did you tell Hannah yet?" he asked me.

I guess I forgot to tell them that I did. Or maybe I just didn't feel like telling them.

"Yeah, she didn't seem to happy," I explained.

"I'm just glad I didn't ask anyone," Donnie said.

At this point I wish I didn't ask her. Then none of this would have to happen.

We just sat there after that. None of us knew what to talk about since all we were doing for the past couple days was talk.

After I ate, I went in my room and put in a movie. I had nothing else to do, so why not. I continued to watch movies throughout the day.

It now was 6:00pm. I tried to ignore that prom was in an hour. There was only one problem. I couldn't ignore it. I know it's the only prom I'd get to go to, and I have to miss it. Or do I?

Since Splinter won't let me go, I'll just have to sneak out. I can't miss my only prom. I'll talk quickly to the guys and see if they want to come. If they don't, I'm going anyways.

I went downstairs to the living room where everyone was. "I want everyone in the basement in five minutes. Don't ask why and don't tell Splinter." I said and went to the basement.

I know everyone was confused, but within five minutes they were downstairs.

"Before I continue talking, I want to make sure that if you don't go along with this, you will not tell Splinter," I said directly looking at Mikey.

Th four of them nodded there heads unsure of what I say next.

"Now you don't have to go along with the plan if you don't want to."

"Well what's the plan?" Mikey asked interrupting me.

"I was getting to that," I explained already getting annoyed with him. "I'm sneaking out to go to prom. There is no way I'm missing it. So are you guys coming with me, or not?"

Everyone seemed to be shocked. Everyone but Leo.

"How did I know this was coming. You get us in trouble once, and try to get us on trouble again!" Leo said getting a little mad.

"Listen I'm not trying to get you in trouble, I'm just saying if you want to go to prom then come. If you don't want to, then don't!"

Leo didn't respond to that. I guess he understood my point.

"I'm in!" Mikey said without really thinking about it.

"You're going to get in a lot of trouble Mikey!" Leo warned.

Mikey thought about for a few instants then said "That's okay."

"I'll come," Donnie said.

I bet the only reason he's coming is to see Brenna.

"Karai?" I asked to see if she was coming or not.

"I'll come," she responded not caring what Leo had to say about it.

Leo was shocked this time. "What do you mean you're going. You can't go!"

"I'm going Leo," she said in a voice that whatever he said wasn't going to change his mind.

"Fine. You go and get caught. I'll stay here and..." Leo started but was interrupted.

"And not have fun." Mikey said to add on to Leo's sentence.

Leo grunted. I knew that he was starting to really get angry with us. "Whatever," he said as he walked upstairs.

I honestly am surprised that almost everyone is coming with me. I thought that maybe Mikey would come with me and that's it. If Leo doesn't wanna come, then he doesn't have to. He just better not tell Splinter about this.
