Chapter 19

Donnie's POV

Raph told everyone about his breakup. I can only image how tough it was on him.

After that I starting working on my science project. I had to make a presentation on something about space to end that unit.

I'm going to do a big poster with al it of facts and stuff. I doubt Raph is going to do anything for his project. It's not due for a few more days, but I'm going to start today.

I the middle of the project, I got a text from Brenna.

It said "Can you help me with my science project?"

Mine was almost finished, so I texted her back saying "Sure, when?"

"Is today okay,"

"Yeah, what time, and where should I meet you?" I asked.

"How about 7:00, and at the park it thats okay,"

"See you then," I replied.

I decided to take a break on my project. I had gotten a lot done. Right now it was 5:00, so I'll have to be there in two hours.

I went down to the kitchen. Sensei was there.

"Hey Sensei," I said.

"Yes Donatello,"

"Can I go to the park later?" I asked hoping he'd say yes.

"Is all of your homework done?"

"Yes," I lied.

"Then yes, you may go," Splinter told me.

For dinner we had pizza, and noodles. I had pepperoni pizza. I not sure what kind of noodles they where, but they where long and stringy. We finished at 6:30.

I decided I was going to go.

"I'm going sensei!" I called.

"Where are you going?" Mikey asked.

"To the park," I said nervously. I didn't want him to come with me.

"Can I come?"

"No Mikey," I said firmly.

It's not that I don't want him to come, it's that I don't want him knowing I'm going to see Brenna. They already bug me enough about her even though we're jus friends.

"And why not?" Karai budded in.

"None of you business Karai," I said sounding a little annoyed.

"We'll can I come?" She asked.

"No," I explained.

"Then it is my business," Karai said with a smirk on her face.

"Fine, then come if you want," I said hoping they would back down.

"I actually have homework," Mikey explained walking off. Who knows if he does or is just using it as an excuse.

"Good thing I don't," Karai said.

"C'mon," I said walking out.

I know she wants to know what's going on. She'll just have to come if she wants to know so badly.

We started to walk to the park. I know the minute she sees Brenna she's going to bug me. That's why I decided to tell her.

"Listen Karai," I said. "I didn't want you coming because I know you're going to to bug me."

"Bug you about what?"

"The reason I'm actually going to the park, is because I'm helping Brenna with her science project," I explained.

She smiled. I knew she knew something was up.

"I'll leave if you want," Karai said.

"You can come if you want," I said hoping that she was going to leave.

"I'll leave you two love birds alone," she said and started to walk the opposite direction.

"I don't like her!" I replied.

I continued my walk on silence. It wasn't that long until got there. I saw Brenna sitting on a picnic table.

"Hey, Brenna, I said taking a seat in front of her.

"Hey Donnie, thanks so much for coming," she said.

"No problem."

We went straight to work. We worked on it for a good two hours until we finished.

"It's cold," she said.

I noticed that she wasn't wearing a sweater.

"Do you wanna borrow my sweater?" I offered her.

"You wouldn't mind?" She asked.

"Not at all," I said taking my sweater off and giving it to her.

"Thanks."

"No problem."

"So what time do you have to leave?" She asked.

"I'm not sure," I explained.

"I can stay for a few more hours, but I'll go when you do."

"Do you wanna go on the swings?" I offered.

"Sure," she said.

She took the left swing an I took the right one. I will admit it I was a bit cold, but I'm sure she was too.

At 9:30 I got a call from Raph.

"Where are you Donnie?"

"At the park,"

"Splinter wants you to be home by 10:00,"

"Okay I'll be right there." I said and hung up.

"I have to go," I told Brenna.

She got off the swing and stood beside me.

"Thanks for all the help," she said.

"No problem," I said.

She opened her arm an hugged me. I hugged her back. She backed up a bit, then somehow it happened. We kissed.
