Ekansh POV
"And this medicine, two tablespoons morning and evening." I say as the lady who sat infront with her obese Labrador nodded.
"With old age, joint problems tend to increase in dogs just like humans, but proper weight management, a healthy diet will prolong the life in the long run." I add as she huffs at the last part.
"But dr. he gets hungry and starving him is inhumane." She says as I shake my head.
"Believe me, you're doing it so he has to suffer less pain." I say as Bismat, my employee walks in and stops at the door.
"I'll see you in a week, Mrs. Seth." I say and get up walking towards the check up room on the side of the OPD as he follows.
"Boss, there was a mix up." He says as my brows furrow.
"The new consignment from Kanpur. There's been two faulty pistol's reported and they won't clear the security check if..." he was going to say as I walk out looking at my receptionist.
"The clinic will be closed for sometime. If somebody is here, tell them I have gone to somebody's home for a cow's C-section and no idea how much time it will take." I say as he nods.
"Bismat, does my father know?" I ask as he runs to catch up with me.
"Sir, not yet." He says as I walk towards the endeavor parked as he follows.
"Don't tell him yet. Call and retrieve all the lot. Make sure that..." I was saying as the phone in my hand rings.
"Raj?" I say as another of my guy speaks.
"Boss, The new SSP is very good at his work. He is on a trail that will soon lead him to Vansh, but there's been an issue. He won't find any solid evidence because Vansh is warned and has started the cleanup." He says as I think for a minute.
Clean up was a mafia term in our area for cleaning every man that may speak up against you or bear witness to your crime.
"He doesn't know the after effects of clean up yet. Let him be." I say as he didn't answer and I knew it was more than that.
"He wants to get Sohail out of his way." He says after a pause as I close my eyes shut to control my anger.
"He can't touch him. I'll do something. Don't worry." I say.
"Thank you boss." He says as I disconnect and look at Bismat.
"Call the SSP at my farm house, for a dinner with the family tonight." I say as he nods.
"If he doesn't agree, remind him that I saved his wife." I say and open the car door and sit on the driver's seat.
"Boss, now where?" he asks as I open the over head compartment to check for my glock as a mere touch and it's weight helped me verify that it was loaded.
"We need answers. Nobody messes with my weapons." I say and put the car in drive.

"Welcome... Welcome..." I hear my mother say as I link my cuffs, looking at the mirror.
The navy blue plain shirt with ivory trousers were a complete look, as I rummaged in my drawer ignoring the Armani and Diors, finding the brown leather strap fastrack watch putting it on my wrist.
The nexy moment I looked in the mirror and realized that Samayra was Daman's best friend. Samayra might recognize this watch, I thought to myself and immediately put it back, picking up a silver watch from emporio Armani with a dial matching my shirt before walking out of my bedroom.
"Where's Mr. Ekansh Sandhu himself?" I hear Ambar speak as I walk down the stairs and they look up.
"I'm very much here. Thank you so much for accepting our invitation. You are new here, and we thought it would be nice for you to socialize a little." I say as Samayra looks at me with her brows furrowed.
"Please, this way." I say leading them to the drawing room as the maid brings them water.
"So, this is a pretty big mansion. What happened to the royal palace?" Ambar asks, with sarcasm dripping in his voice.
"Oh looks like you haven't been to the local museum yet? That's our royal palace. The air conditioning and other infrastructure was painful to maintain."
"But the mix of Mughal and Rajput architecture was mesmerizing." Samayra adds, meaning she had been there without her husband and I nod.
"It was. But the maintenance is better done by the government and having the archeological department or some historical researcher visit every third day was a headache." I say as she nods.
"Especially with your line of work. You need privacy." Ambar says as I chuckle.
"I'll prefer discussing business after the meal. The royal hospitality needs..." I go to say as he interrupts.
"The type of business will determine if we have a meal here." He says and I nod.
"You found something against Vansh?" I ask as he frowns and I add, "I can help with that."
"Why would you do that?"
"I'm tired of the whole family war. I want it to end." I say as he shrugs.
"You're five years too late." He says, not believing me.
"You're good. I couldn't see your skill set that day, because of your feelings for Samayra had hampered your efficiency." I say as he chuckles.
"I don't need a criminal to give me a grade." He says as I smile.
"There was a man working for my father. Khan baba, I used to call him. He died as a loyal servant to the royal family." I say as he frowns, not understanding where I was going.
"His family thinks that we were responsible for the... demise and his son joined Vansh in search of vengeance against me. I promised Khan baba, in his last moments to protect Sohail. So, if I give you a tip and you successfully get Vansh in exchange I just expect a leniency for this one 17 year old boy." I say as his eyes widen.
"A 17 year old is a part of a cartel?" Samayra says as I nod and look at Ambar.
"You are closing in on Vansh very quickly and his response has been panicked. He is expected to start a clean-up." I say looking at his face waiting for a response.
He understood the term, which meant his network had been growing.
"A what?" Samayra asks as I look at Ambar.
"We can talk outside." I say as he shakes his head.
"Please continue. She's my better half, for a reason." He says and I nod.
"A clean up means anyone who knows anything about Vansh and is no longer required to the Cartel will be eliminated. Anyone that he thinks might slip-up and tell something to Mr. Deol here, will be dealt with." I say as Ambar nods.
"And you have information?" he asks.
"I can have information, if we have a deal?"
"The 17 year old will be sent to a Juvenile home." Ambar says as I think for a minute.
"Okay, but you have to do this quickly. I want him out of there alive. That promise means alot to me." I say as Samayra hd a sarcastic one sided smile and Ambar nods.
"Sure. But Ekansh." He says and looks at me suspiciously.
"If I find anything illegal against you?"
"You won't." I say as he nods.
"Dinner smells nice." He says as I smile and point in the direction of the dining table.
"Oh and Samayra there's a vacancy at the Royal riding academy. I remember you have the required experience, if you'd like to put in an application." I say steering the conversation to other matters.
