Ishleen shook her head as the doctor asked her to push.
"Where's Rehaan ji?" she cried in the labor room as a contraction made her clench her teeth.
"Ishleen, you're crowning. The baby will suffocate if you don't push." The doctor repeats.
Ishleen had clear instructions. She wanted nobody in the delivery room except her husband. Firstly, she didn't want a family member, even women staring at her vagina and secondly, she wanted Rehaan. Just Rehaan.
"Rehaan ji will hate himself if I do this without him." She cries out with her tears streaming down her eyes.
"Her husband is here. He's getting gowned and gloved for sepsis." A nurse comes and informs the doctor as she looks at me.
"Ishleen, he's here... Pushh..." she says as Rehaan ji runs in and holds my hand.
"I'm here, baby. I'm here." He says pushing the hair away from my head and wiping the sweat.
"You scoundrel. I've been in labor for 13 hours" Ishleen cried out as he took a step back at the unexpected fieriness.
"Ishleen Push." The doctor says as she held onto Rehaan's hand, leaning into his body, and pushed.

Outside the labor room, Samayra and Ambar paced in worry with Ishleen's family.
13 hours ago, They had just done unloading both their cars from the luggage they had brought in. They had just shifted back from the strange town that had almost took everything from them, but given them so much as well.
Now, they wanted to be back home. Among the people they loved, and those that loved them.
Ambar had transferred back into his hometown and Samayra had sent a resume to her old job. They were glad to have her back.
Only one thing had changed.
They had changed.
They had matured as a couple, understanding each other better than before. They were ready to tackle the world now, since they didn't have the urge to tackle each other over dinner menu.
Pluto was well accepted into the house, and Reena and Tej felt like it would be good having a new born grow up with a dog for it's protection and company.
"Your mustang is empty and there's another suitcase of my footwear and Pluto's toy bag in my wrangler, take that." Samayra had said to Ambar, 13 hours ago, handing over stuff to the househelp when Chetan came running out.
"Ishleen's in labor." He announced as they both looked shocked.
"But, you didn't get a leave so..." Ambar said noticing the small overnight bag he held.
"Why are you home early?" Samayra asks.
"I left the job and I'm taking your wrangler, since it's build for the off road, speeding and longer routes." Rehaan says as they exchanged a look.
"Chetan, are you high?" Samayra asks shocked at his impulsive decision.
"No, as tempting as that sounds... It was the tumor me. Normal brain Rehaan doesn't need drugs to be happy. I have a back ache being the only one carrying the weight of a good sense of humor in this house." He says keeping his bag in the back seat.
"Get aside then, We're going with you." Samayra said sitting in the back seat of her car.
"Look, I don't have time to..." Rehaan begs as Ambar follows his wife, taking the passenger seat in the front.
