I woke up the next morning in excruciating pain. I couldn't feel anything below my waist, so I looked down, my legs and waist covered in bruises and scratch marks, and my throat was aching. Everything that had happened the night before suddenly hit me like a ton of bricks.
"No!"
I screamed as loud as I could in frustration, which wasn't very loud. I forced myself to get up, biting my lip hard. It wasn't until I finally sat up completely did I realize that I was in a different room. This one had no windows, no curtain to separate the bathroom and the bedroom, and no bars on the door. I slowly started to freak out and bang on the wall.
"No! Please let me out! Please!"
I begged, pleaded with people who I knew weren't listening. After what felt like hours, I finally gave up and sat back in bed, slowly banging my head against the wall, loud sobs escaping my swollen lips. Hungry and cold, I curled up into the fetal position and fell asleep once more.
