Shaken up, I stared up at Donovan as my eyes widened. My eyes kept shifting in and out of focus, sweat running down my face and the tears clouding my vision. My face felt like it had been paralyzed so I couldn't make a sound or move any of my tense, aching muscles. I finally snapped out of the trance when I heard my name.

"Kasper... Kasper!"

I hesitantly looked up, terror wreaked havoc within my brain. I shakily cleared my throat and attempted to open my mouth but nothing came out as the broken memories I tried so hard to banish from my isolated and desolate maze of a brain began to hit me like a ton of bricks. I felt my breathing practically stop as my lungs tightened, making me feel as if someone was smothering me, my tears lingered against my already tear-stained face, and my vision started to cut in and out as the flashback began.

-- I was laying on my back, reading a book about wolves. Wolves were my favorite animals at the time and because of this, I had a smile plastered against my face.

"Hey!"

I put my book down before saying to my cousin who had just entered the room.

"You okay?"

"Keep it down."

He said, a quiet growl underlying his words as I saw him move closer step by step. I kept questioning him.

"W-Why... What are you doing-"

I felt sweat begin to trickle down the side of my face, fear spreading throughout my body. He only stood and stared at me in silence before jumping on me, pinning down both my arms above my head and tugging at my clothes. I began to scream, begging him to stop--

A hand rescued me from my thoughts as the tears began to roll down my cheeks. I stared off into the distance out of disbelief before glancing back at Donovan who now had a puzzled expression on his face and a mix of concern and sympathy in his bright brown eyes.

"What happened?"

He said concerningly as he placed a hand on my shoulder. I looked down at the floor and frantically wiped the tears off my face, panting. The flashback caused my face to flush a bright red until I looked up at the male, feeling surprisingly soothed by the giant.
