I couldn't bear to be there. I didn't know what was going to happen, but something with what Donovan said struck me.

I know you're trying to cleanse this world by getting rid of them, but hurting yourself in order to do this is not the way to go.

I had gone to my parent's house and withdrawn a large sum of cash to get me by in England. I also packed some food, clothes, and other necessities. I bought a ticket for the USS Morrison on the route to Britain. My plan was to work my way through the many countries until I finally end up in Italy.

Once my ticket was checked and marked, I got on the ship and looked out at all the families who had watched their loved ones get on before looking at the landscape. It wasn't until the USS Morrison started to leave the port did I notice Donovan and his mother standing at the edge of the water, looking up at me.

I looked down at the envelope in my hand before opening it again. It was the letter Donovan had given me when we first saw each other in the asylum. I wrote something on the back before crumpling it up and throwing it at them.
