Time Flies

Dripping down as I drop the blade
I laugh it off and pretend I am sane
I pull up the sleeve and stare at my reflection
With such blurry vision I shed a few tears
I smile it off and push away what's near
Brushed it off and act like I'm fine
Talk to people you love
Little do they know you messed up
You feel the paranoia flowing in your mind
Yet you've got such little time
Stop the pain you scream inside
But no the monster just aches your mind
You slowly lose your mental state
Don't even know your place
You hate yourself to the core
As you slam yourself against the door
And slowly fall down to your knees
As you cry begging it to leave
You sense a small hand on your shoulder
Listen to me when you're older
I can see the pain in your eyes
But you no longer have to hide
You stare in shock to see yourself
Smaller with such a pure heart unlike anything else
You hug yourself very tight
As tears continue to flow from your eyes
Take care dear me, I am always with you
You no longer have to feel the pain
For you are now safe
You once again open your eyes
See yourself gone and nowhere to be found
As you look around
You see your favourite childhood plush
That had fallen and got knocked over towards you in such a rush
As more tears fall on its soft face
As you slowly begin to embrace
All that you've been through
You finally feel out of the blue
As you look back and realize
Truly how fast time flies
