LATE THAT NIGHT, Arani found her way to Peli's shop, knowing Mando had to be there. She hopped off the speeder bike, almost falling as she grabbed her bag. The shop's door opened and she ran inside, hoping she wasn't too late. When she got to Hanger 3-5, she found it to be quiet but the giant ship that belonged to Mando was still there.

She slid to a halt, her shoulders convulsing as she caught her breath. She looked up to the stars as she said a quiet thank you to whoever was listening.

R-5 beeped and rolled up to her, happy to see her again so soon. The other droids scurried out of Peli's workshop, chirping away, signalling to their owner that someone was there.

From inside, a few more lights switched on and a voice boomed. "Who in their right mind would be here this late?! I'm sorry, but we're closed." Peli came outside, looking like she had a stressful day's work. She caught sight of the dishevelled girl and brightened. "Ari, what are you doing here? I thought you were helping Mando out."

"I was. I came back to find him. He asked me to come along and I said no, but then Vanth changed my mind and now I need to tell Mando I wanna come with him before he leaves-"

"Woah, woah, woah, slow down, Arani. He hasn't stopped by yet, but I'm sure he's on his way. Just relax. I was gonna head to the cantina if you want to join me. Mando won't leave without paying me. Oh, that reminds me!" Peli dashed into her workshop and when she came out, in her arms was a white and red droid.

"BD!"

The small robot beeped and leapt out of Peli's grasp, running over to his owner and into her arms.

Ari cradled the droid much like she did with the child and she gave a true smile, all anxiety gone. "Thank you, Pel!"

"Eh, no problem. You being gone all those days gave me extra time to sort through his hard drive and replace some old wires."

Ari reached into her coat pocket and produced a small stack of Credits. Peli happily took them and told her that she just might gamble tonight, she was feeling lucky. Ari laughed and wished her luck, wanting to just sit and rest while she could. She sat in a small alcove and opened her pack, fishing out her favourite book, which she just so happened to bring as a 'just in case' item.

PELI AND MANDO CAME BACK to the hanger later than Ari expected. She wondered what happened to the Mandalorian as his speeder was uncounted for and he carried everything on his shoulders like a lost traveller. He had yet to spot her from her little nook, but she could see everything even though it was dark.
