CORVUS WAS A HAZY PLANET, filled with lifeless plants. Even as they flew over the capital city, Ari could tell it was a disconsolate place.  It had once been a thriving forest planet, but after the destruction of war, it was left to rot. The sun barely shown through the infinite blanket of clouds, painting everything in a grey hue.

Din took in his surroundings, trying to see if anyone was around but all he saw was a wasteland. A large creature screeched in the distance which rattled the ship and Ari to their core. In the woman's arms, the kid cooed and huffed. Din turned around, the noise catching his attention.

"What'd I say about that?" said Din. He reached out to the kid, who handed him a little orb he was playing with. "This needs to stay in the ship."

Ari sighed and moved the child to her other hip. "Din, really? He's just a kid, let him play with it."

"And I thought I told you to say in the cockpit," Din retorted, ignoring her and putting the orb into a pocket.

"We both know I'd have to be crazy to let you go out there alone. I'm your only impulse control."

Din turned to look at the landscape surrounding him. He hated that she was right, but Ari was important to him on multiple fronts. He needed her. But he wouldn't give her the satisfaction of knowing just exactly how much, so he said: "Not much to see out here. Never had dealings with a Jedi before."

Arani smirked and handed Din the kid so that he could be hidden. "I have, so let me do the talking and we should be fine. Let's head into town."

The walls of the city quickly came into view. It was made of plain sandy bricks that blended with the surroundings and were built so high that it was slightly unnerving. A few guards were littered about the place and from the gate's terrace, a man called down to them.

"State your business."

Din slightly stepped forward, keeping Ari behind him. "Been tracking for a few days. Looking for a layover."

The man quirked a brow. "Nice armour. You a hunter then?"

"That's right," nodded Din.

"Guild?"

"Last I checked."

"What's with the princess?"

Ari folded her arms, not pleased with the nickname. No, not nickname - title. "Princess, really?"

The Mandalorian glanced at his friend before coming up with an answer. "She's my wife." He turned back to the man, hand on his waist. "Is that gonna be a problem?"

The guard scrutinized the two, seeing if he could detect anything but failed. Ari was about to break when the older man nodded to one of his soldiers. "Open the gate."
