"Gumiiii pleasssseeee!" You whine innocently pouting your lips and batting your eyelashes trying to capture your best friends attention.  You had just got them filled so you knew they were in full effect. There's a party tonight and you didn't have a ride to that side of town and besides, there's no way your parents would let you out that late, unless you were accompanied by your trusted companion. You needed him as an excuse and he wasn't budging. He sighs glancing at you quickly "no way y/n, everyone going to that party are a bunch of tools. You shouldn't involve yourself with people like that." He says turning away from you. You sit right next to him in class, it's always been that way for 4 years now. You reach out your hand towards him when some obnoxious jock walks through bumping into your arm he blocks your view of Gumi "hey y/n you coming out to play tonight??" He smirks at you and you roll your eyes "it's rude to interrupt while the grown ups are speaking" you smirk back at him. He turned to see Megumi glaring at him and shivered slightly "oh uh, my bad fushiguro... uhm text me later then if you're gonna come by, y/n." he says as you shoo him away he continues to walk off.  You hate being interrupted especially by some 2 cell brained idiot. "Come on gumi, I worked hard all week and  I even got a new outfit to wear! I sent it to you on snap over the weekend, you even approved of it, remember?"

Megumi pov

Is she talking about the daisy shorts and netted crop top... there's no way she should wear that out around those clowns. They can't control themselves around her, and I don't trust them. I need a diversion "Hey how about we just do something tonight instead?" I randomly suggested. It caught her off guard but peaked her interest "Hmm?" She hummed raising an eyebrow curiously. "The county fair is in town the city over, let's do that tonight instead. Win a couple prizes, eat some food and go on some rides?" I saw the grin slowly grace upon her face I'm reeling her in... "you can wear that outfit if you want, just come over after you get dressed?" It sounded like a good plan since we are neighbors.

Your pov

What a wonderful idea you thought, gumi hasn't spent time with you and him alone in months now. With you and your school extra curriculum activities and his training with that blindfolded idiot you both have been busy. "Hmmm okay as long as you promise to win me the biggest squish mellow" you sigh in defeat pretending like you weren't happy with the outcome.  No matter what megumi always walked Tsumiki and you home everyday to and from school, you weren't sure if you simply admired him and his chivalry or if you truly liked him more than a friend. But you always hated when someone interrupted your time with him, they would have hell to pay. You were always waiting for him to make a move unsure if he felt the same way. You couldn't bare the embarrassment if it all went south, but the fair?? Tonight im gonna risk it all, you decided not to play around and wore the blue Jean shorts that were ripped in the front and back, and showed the bottom of your ass cheeks, that he liked and the black  sheer top over a black bra and some converses since you'd be walking a lot.

When you walked outside Megumi was already waiting for you in his car, he wore a long sleeved button down shirt, grey slacks and his black converses too. You slide in his car and he blushes as he begins to speak "wow... you wore that outfit still.... For me?" He whispered that last part under his breath you're sure he thought you didn't hear that as he begins to pulls away "oh yeah, do you think it looks alright? I can change if it's too much?" "No!" He says quickly "you look amazing" he adds on. You pull out your phone to take a couple of selfies with the two of you at a stop light, gumi's face is always serious but he gave a grin. You posted on to your story "two best friends on a date... they might kiss" you knew he wouldn't see it so you weren't concerned.

At the fair you both had the time of your lives, forgetting your problems laughing the night away. Eating funnel cakes, cotton candy and other fair foods. You weren't crazy about most the rides but he took you on the Farris wheel while the sun was setting and he took some candid photos of you but you truly enjoyed the sight in front of you which was him. You walked around until you found the game booth with the biggest prized squish and he won it for you easily and carried it back to the car. When you got back home he invited you over for a movie. You spent the night many times at his place with his sister being your best friend. But she was at a friends tonight so it was just you and him. He made a big bowl of popcorn and some snack while you changed into an old band tshirt with shorts and got into his bed snuggled up he sat next to you on top of the blanket. You pulled out your phone and saw your classmates story turning up at the party and he mustve suspected what you were doing "you know there's still time if you wanna go to your party and see your friends..." he says. You turn to look up at him away from your phone "what do you mean? I have everything I need right here" you smile wrapping your arm around his waist hugging him. He gently rested his arm around your shoulder before speaking "y/n, I have something I want to tell you." You hummed as a reply " I love you" you took a sharp inhale and looked at him. "And I love you gumi bear" you tell him. He smiles down to you, it was so endearing you lean closer to his face and with his arm around you he pushes you closer for a kiss. His kiss was soft and supple, his lips melted perfectly into yours you felt heat rush to your cheeks when you pulled away observing him. His face was the shade of a red apple as he opened his eyes slowly with his perfect eyelashes. It's not fair you have to pay over 100 a month to even compare. "Thanks for not giving up on me for going to that party... I'd much rather be here with you" you tell him and he looks to you as if he's pleased.
