Short one with Enmu helping his tired human sleep without any nightmares and terrors.

You're naturally a light sleeper, so you wake easy from the slightest movements. You're stirred awake tonight from the wood creaking on the floorboard and lean up towards the door.

"Ah... sorry for waking you, baby go back to sleep" your boyfriend Enmu whispers. You shake your head on the pillow humming out

"Uh uh!" You huff out.

He sighs out reaching for his hand off the nightstand.

"Do I have to put you to sleep myself?" He teases connecting his hand back to his wrist.

Whenever you both are separate for any period of time, he leaves his hand behind to help you sleep with his blood demon art.

You could tell him what you wanted to dream about and he will make that happen, you never requested anything in particular but you didn't want nightmares anymore.

The ones where the people you loved were hurting you, or the night terrors where your sleep demon was present in your room and you were frozen from paralysis.

Everyone made you believe it was only in your head, that you were crazy all you had to do was just stop, but it wasn't in your head like the doctors said after all.

Your sleep demon was real, and sometimes he got past Enmu and managed to make it to your bedside leaving you a frightened mess. You remembered it like it was yesterday when he discovered you actually had a demon following you when you slept.

"Who the fuck is that??" Enmu shouted upon entering your shared bedroom just a couple of nights after moving in together.

"You see him too?" You ask wearily

"Of course I see this.... hey!" He calls out whistling to it.

"Who the fuck are you and why are you in my house??" He asks again taking a couple of steps closer to the demon.

Enmu really could see him but he couldn't destroy it.

"It's a manifestation y/n, your mind conjures up this evil entity and puts it into a vessel that is terrifying to you and then it haunts you... day in and day out"

"But how can you see it too if it's just something I manifested?" You asked confused

"Because I'm on the other side already, I can see things from this realm that you see and the other." He smiles while comforting you.

"I can make him go away for now, but only you can keep it at bay" he adds and you nod your head eagerly to get the first good nights rest you've had in years.

"Ok beautiful" he says raising his hand above your face

"Sleep" you hear him command before you feel your body instantly relax into his arms.

He felt the weight of your body give out into his chest and he sat there in the same position all night watching you sleep while gently tracing his fingers along your back assisting you to sleep heavily.

He removed his shirt before climbing into bed with you tonight, you move over slightly as you were laying on his side per usual. He wraps his arms around you pulling you closer and you melt into his touch resting your head on his shoulder

"Any special request?" He asks softly while grazing his fingers along your warm, soft skin.

"No just somewhere warm with you.. please" you beg softly looking into his eyes

"Anything for you" 🖤 he leans forward and plants a small kiss on your forehead making you feel warm inside.

He holds out his hand in front of your eyes

"Sleep..... softly" he commands.

He only says this for you as it gives you 10 seconds of your eyelids becoming heavy before you coast off to dreamland comfortably without just blacking out.

"Mmm, I lo... Lovee.. you..." you mutter out

"Ahh y/n it always makes me gush how you always tell me you love me before you go to bed every night. I love that you cherish me." He boasted over your sleeping figure with his eyes sparkling and his cheeks red with love.

"I never thought a human could be so selfless and caring.... And so very humble." He takes a deep breath before continuing

"I love you" he smiles.
