The Color Gray

The sky was bright blue

The sun was golden with the heat of a thousand flames

I believed in love, I believed in you

My heart was filled with joy, it didn't know the feeling of shame

You made my heart a wild entity that could never be tamed

I couldn't hear music the same

You ruined every sound with the way you said my name

Its like you ignited all of my hopes and dreams when you called for me

However, things change and dreams die

Its as certain as  guys like you breaking hearts and telling lies

The sky no longer glistens it storms

The perpetual grey has become my only way

Warmth no longer surrounds me, only the feeling of being cold

I feel cold and alone since it's only me and the words I loved no longer are the arms that hold

My heart has steadied into an even beat

But it still cries for you though

But I keep that deep inside never wanting anyone to know
