L E A N A

The sound of old school souls continued to play aloud as I walked with Keys, away from the back of the building and towards the front to her car. She wasted no time leading us away from the grill the second Mr Gerald had returned, and I was lowkey grateful for the fact since I was growing tired of the crowd of judgemental ass people.

Me deciding to smoke with her was an escape for all this shit right now, it was much better than staying here with all these people watching me. If it wasn't for Mr Gerald I wouldn't have shown up in the first place, but I know that man can hold a grudge. If I didn't love him so much I would've just pulled up, said hi and left, but I knew he wanted me to stay for a bit.

I was contemplating leaving, and I probably would've if Keys didn't offer to smoke. Mr Gerald was cool with her, her being on the grill said that, and she okay company and seemed respectful enough. That shit that went down the other night with Alessia (Diamond) also makes me less weary of this shit.

I'm just gon smoke with her until I see Kelly pull up.

"You mad quiet," I heard her announce next to me in her always calm and collected tone, and I hummed as her eyes pierced into me as we took our final steps towards her car.

They probably thinking I'm bout to fuck her in the backseat or sum.

I lifted an arm ready to open the door, but she gently took a hold of it guiding it away from the handle as she opened the door instead.

"You don't open doors round no gentlewoman," She stated, half serious and half joking and it was a mixture that had me looking up at her as she released my arm.

"Thank you," I affirmed as I got it, prompting her to close the door and move around the car, getting in as well. "I hope you know we not doing nothing but smoking,"

"Why would I think that shit, Compulsion?" She asked, meeting my eyes after lifting a blunt from her center console along with a lighter.

"I'm just letting you know,"

"I'm just tryna vibe," She mumbled before placing the blunt between her lips, but just before she sparked it, she looked to me pausing. "Did you want first pull?"

"No, you good," I told her and those words had her lighting the end, and puffing with a toss of the lighter between her legs. Without even taking a puff myself, I knew whatever she was smoking was gon be sum good shit because I could tell she was a smoker. She smelt like weed and expensive cologne all day everyday, even the car had that smell.

"Here," She offered as she held the joint towards me, and I took it, taking a pull with a hold...before releasing.

Fuck.

"You like that?"

"Mhm," I said, enjoying the beginning to what I knew was gon be a good high, while the music from the cookout continued to be heard at a soft volume in the car.

"You can gon head and take that, Imma light another one," She mumbled distractingly, and it had me looking over to find her opening a compartment on the center console and taking out another prepared joint.

"How many you got in here?"

"I can't tell you that," She said with a smile as she lifted the lighter once again. "That's sum real personal shit,"

"I thought you wanted to get personal," I said, and she smiled around the blunt in her mouth as she lit the exposed end and puffed, tossing the lighter back between her legs.

"You seem like you naturally a flirt," She commented with smoke leaving her mouth with each word as she rested her head back against her seat, turning her head and meeting my eyes.
