"Right here," I announced, glancing back at Dantae with a point to the door I was now leading him towards.

"You been here before?"

"Once," I told him as we settled at the door, which had me lifting my hand into a fist to knock against it.

"You think they renting?"

"What you like it?" I asked, knowing he was apartment hunting for his own spot as promised, and I looked back at him while we waited for the door to be answered.

"Yeah, it look a lot calmer than your spot, I don't got the money to live where you at," He voiced, making me smile as the door opened to reveal Loyal who had his hair half done.

"Keys," He greeted, stretching a hand out and I took it, dabbing him up and the second we separated, he was stepping to the side for us to come in. "This Dantae?"

"Yeah," I told him with a glance back to him dabbing up Dantae as well in a greeting before closing the door. "Jerome here, yet?"

"Yeah, he out there on that balcony on a call," He told me as I walked deeper into the house to see a familiar face standing in the living room behind a chair, looking impatient.

"Hey Keys," She greeted while I still tried to place the face, but nonetheless, I outstretched a hand towards her which she took with a bit of surprise on her face as she tilted her head. "Kelly did a real good job on your braids,"

The hair salon...Justine.

"Yeah, she did," I agreed as I released her hand while Loyal moved to sit back in the chair in front of her.

"How much longer we got on the hair?" Loyal asked as Dantae walked over to the couch with the pack of beer we picked up on the way still in his hand.

"If you stopped getting up we would've been done," She answered, as she returned the tail comb to his head to continue her parting while I moved to take a seat next to Dantae, who was busy looking around the space, which had me remembering his question from earlier.

"Hey, Loyal any of these apartments in here renting?" I asked him as Dantae rested the pack of beer on the floor, tuning into the conversation.

"You looking to move?"

"Nah, Dantae is looking for a spot,"

"I'll hook him up with a place," He assured while looking back at us, which had Justine looking at him, irritated as she turned his head back just as fast.

"Thanks,"

"No, problem, can you pass me one of those?" He asked, referring to the beers and Dantae moved to fulfil the request as the balcony door opened and in walked Jerome, who immediately moved to me, dabbing me up.

"You good?" Jerome asked as he moved to sit in the spot Dantae had just vacated.

"Yeah, I'm good," I told him, despite the part of me that was already growing ready to leave, especially when another knock sounded on the door, which had Loyal standing with his beer in hand, earning another look from Justine. "I thought it was just us four watching the game,"

"I asked Loyal to invite two friends of his I met the other day," He said and by the look on his face, I already knew they were women, and that was confirmed when I heard the additional voices, and then they came into view as Dantae sat down next to Jerome.

"Lee, Amoy, that's Dantae, Keys, and you remember Jerome," Loyal introduced, pointing at each of us as he sat back down, and as they walked over, I wondered how everybody was gon fit on this couch.
