K E E Y A
The whisper of heavy rain continued around me with droplets tapping rapidly against my car, creating a soothing ambience that every other sound melted into...the clicking of my indicator, the soft melodies of Rnb playing from my car's speaker, and the mumble of vehicles passing by as I sat at the red light, waiting.
My exhaustion was also present, a constant, especially after the prep work I did at the club, and I was reminded of the fact as a yawn left me while the light switched from red to green. At the change, I drove off, immediately making the turn into the parking lot of Mr Gerald's shop, prompting the clicks of the indicator to cease.
As I pulled in my eyes instantly met the sight of P's car parked off to the side, and I moved to park in the spot right next to it with heavy gratitude in me since she was getting me lunch. If she wasn't I probably wouldn't have at until much later, I would've taken my ass back home, smoked the rest of the blunt from this morning and went to sleep.
That's the last thing I needed though when I was this hungry.
I placed the car in park before lifting my phone from the centre console and turning it on. After unlocking the device, I went to P's chat, sending off a text to let her know that I was here.
-ME
I'm outside.
Delivered
Seen
-PULSION
I'm coming.
Her response had me locking my phone with a place of it on the dashboard while my gaze simultaneously went to the entrance of the shop, waiting to see her as I sent my seat back sum.
ANOTHER YAWN
At this point I wasn't sure if I was yawning because I was hungry or because I was tired.
The shop door opened, and only a second later an umbrella was pushed out, flying open before P appeared, stepping under it. Her eyes landed on my car as she pushed the door closed behind her and began walking over. I couldn't help my smile as her usual resting bitch face that stood in place, complimented by her baggy grey sweatpants, white t-shirt and white forces. Braids down to her ass, that confidence in her walk as she held onto the bag in her hand while moving.
She looked damn good.
That thought is what stood in my mind as I opened my door now that she was only a few feet away, and as I got out, her eyes met me and so did her confusion as she frowned, but before she could ask, her question was already silently answered as I moved around the car to open her door.
"Thank you," She affirmed amusedly as she moved into the car, and I took her umbrella, closing her door before moving back around the car quickly and opening my door to get in as well.
"Where we going?" I asked her while doing a quick shake of her umbrella before closing it and placing it down on the floor by my feet.
"The food right here," She informed me, which had me looking over to her while pulling my door closed to see the white plastic bag she was once carrying now resting on her lap. "I decided to just pick up the food on the way over here,"
