The familiar lights coated the stage, illuminating me as—
Swan-like gestures.
Literal perfection.
The frequency of compulsion.
The frequency of desire.

I stood as the silver lining to another life as the familiar crowd bore witness to yet another woman glued to me for the night. Her body was the least of the weight she expected me to bear for her, as always. I watched souls use me as the foundation to hold up their very lives, creating frequencies that most will never hear and only few will ever feel in entirety.
I have felt the frequencies of many souls from pain, sorrow, loss, insecurity, and fear to every vibration of trauma that could litter the earth, but no one else heard them. Somehow they felt desire where pain sprouted. Here with me in this club is the only place where one will ever find naked women who were the most covered.
Swan-like gestures.
Literal perfection.
The frequency of compulsion.
Who today felt different, lighter by a subtle amount even though its vessel weighed the same, and maybe I knew why because of all the eyes that stared at us, one felt different as if it was seeing her and not us, or at least trying to see her.
The frequency of desire.

My eyes drifted off Pulsion back to the phone in my hand as I continued to check the camera while we drew closer to closing time. It was already a long day, and the heat from all these bodies was making it feel longer.
"Sarge," The words were spoken over the music with a firm grip on my shoulder and I looked to my right to see Dantae, and I nodded a motion for him to talk. "We need more bodies at the front,"
"I got it," I assured him, and he nodded, walking off as I turned off my phone, pushing it into my pocket while passing one last glance to Pulsion before heading towards the entrance of the club.
I moved through the sea of bodies, grateful for the very moment I arrived outside, inviting the cool night breeze to touch on my exposed arms as I looked at the line that still had people, waiting to come in.
Don't motherfuckers got work in a few hours.
The sight of the bodies had me moving over to Ian, who was busy at the head of the line while Tiny did checks.
"We not taking anybody else because we clearing out soon, alright?"
"I got you," He told me, and I walked off towards my car as he motioned Tiny over since clearing the club was always the hardest part of the night, that and guarding them private rooms. The cool night breeze continued as my strides pulled me closer towards my car, while my eyes checked my surroundings as I moved since drunk motherfuckers always lingered after certain hours.
