It wasn't at all formal for an Alpha and Luna pair to wait on the tarmac for an incoming party, but here they were again for the second day in a row. Sage had sat up on Remus' truck bed with the pups cuddling at her sides who were basking in both the comfort and attention of both their parents.
And Andrew.
Something about the twins always resonated with anyone. And Rue, being the little princess that she is, had all the males wrapped around her finger—Her father more than anyone.
"The witches are preparing the shields around Crescent Moon. Hopefully, that'll hold the Draugr back from attacking again." Andrew offered and Remus nodded along, but his gaze didn't turn to look off toward Andrew.
So Sage reached forward and rubbed her mate's shoulder. "Okay?" And Remus huffed. "Yeah, just going to be a lot of shit to handle." His response caused Sage to make a face, and while it wasn't her fault entirely, it did resonate with her and her reappearance.
"Remus hardly ever lies hun, come on." Sage turns to Andrew, remaining silent but her eyes flicker between the two—Almost expecting Remus to explain. And thus, he itches the back of his neck in damnation.
"Yeah...I didn't lie necessarily, I had a hard time keeping Sage involved with current events." "You don't tell me council thinks we lied about pups being real. Not telling me important current events." Andrew let his head fall back to look at the sky as he sighed out loud, making Rue rise up to her feet to use his shoulder as leverage to poke his cheek.
"I take it back. It's alright, I'll expedite—As Beta or soon to be Gamma." He promised with a slight smirk, which Remus just allowed a small 'we'll see about that.'
The constant friendly banter had caused Sage mood to spike up, it hadn't started out the way she wanted, but she was thankful that there was somewhat of a peaceful ground to be found. The two acted so familiar with one another that it was as if a day hadn't passed between them.
"Plane!" Ronan called out, flapping his glove that was hooked up to his jacket and Sage pulled him closer to her side. "Did you like the plane, Roe?"
"No, too loud." She nodded in agreement. "Very loud, and hurts ears." He huffed and nodded his head, though he didn't understand why that earned his attention from his mom, he wasn't about to deny it.And thus she squealed once she caught him wiggling.
"Was Alpha Issac and the rest of Grey Hallow angry with the end of war or—"
"Not angry, no, but it was a lot of work trying to regain that I was never a part of it like they thought I was." Andrew nodded, his name was one of the many right beside Jackson and Eli's fathers. He would need to make the same amends, starting with funding all the patches that Crescent Moon was facing. "Probably be the same bullshit for me too—Should I be worried about Alpha Issac?" Remus didn't want to say it out loud that he'd probably get his ass beat in the next ten minutes, but once everything settles, Issac will be happy.
"Yeah, Clark's a Grey Hallow name right? I'm sure he'd be happy to hear it." Andrew felt himself nod along, but numbly. It was hard not to feel excited on the account of Sage having trouble staying in her seat with the pups when the plane had just landed.
Remus wasn't all that surprised to see the sudden array of guards flowing out of the plane's exit, Enforcers at that.
However, when they were lined up, Issac had made his way into the doorway, which Sage had watched his mouth move—Leaving Mary to enter the doorway as well.
It wasn't impossible for the Luna of Grey Hallow to navigate down the steps, but clearly, Issac had returned to being the overprotective male that Mary would complain about constantly.
