Currently, Sage was attempting to get ready for last-minute party that Kendal and the pack had planned to throw for their arrival. And of course, Sage was starting to feel unease about the situation.

Not to mention that her gut was firing every second waiting for Raven to text her back.

And it was driving Sage to her last thread of sanity, even with Blake having knocked on the door twice already, asking if everything was okay.

"Do you really think they're connected?" Laura asked, worry tracing every word of the question. And Sage couldn't lie, not to one of her first friends besides Allie and Izzy.

"Yes. Don't know how." The door soon opened, causing Laura to turn defensive before checking who had come barreling in. Everyone knew that entering a female's room without permission was considered verboten, let alone a Luna's room—Not to mention that she was still, technically, unmarked.

The only fact saving Blake from Laura's sharp tongue is that he held up his phone and looked readily concerned. "Why's Raven sending me a message about—"

With his voice much louder than normal, Laura hurried over and pulled him further into the room with a quick hush. Hoping that he would get the memo.
"The Luna thinks she has a lead." The female muttered.

"Well, that's great! But next time, keep me in the loop, yeah? I want to have your back if things go south."

"Things go south..."

"If things start to go bad. Better to have some of us know. Did you tell the Alpha?" Sage shook her head. "Andy?" Again, she shook her head.

"I don't want to be wrong."

"A lead doesn't always have to be right." Laura offered, finishing the last braid in the Luna's hair before smiling brightly into the mirror. "There, we're all set." Blake's sigh of relief had caused a smile on Sage's face, but then she turns towards her female with an expected grin.

"You sit with Grey?" The way that Laura's face had blossomed into a shade of red that Sage wasn't entirely familiar with, but it caused Blake to laugh as he tugged his Mentor's hand.

Leading them into the hallway.

"You can't just know that—How did you—"

"Gift," Sage said, her smile just as knowing as before.

"Yeah, an annoying one with no sense of time or direction. I heard you knew that Jack and Rory were going to have a Heat too." As if the mention of a newly found couple wasn't enough, the idea of pups had caused Sage to beam forward.

And what a wonderful introduction that was as she stood before the crowded room of Moon Ridge pack members. While she knew that they weren't all returning her smile, as some were too busy glaring and whispering to their neighbors, it still surprised her that some wolves were terrified of her entering the room.

That ticked in the back of her head as though there was a reason besides her presence making them fear her.

But her background preceded her as she greeted Kendal politely and took a seat beside her mate, which prompted the conversations around the room to spark up once more.

"Are you feeling okay?" She nodded, but Remus had the urge to tap into their mate bond and see for himself just how nauseous his female felt.

And when he did, the poor male was nearly compelled to throw up afterward, so he poured her a hefty glass of water before managing one for himself.
