Hello! It's me–The Author!
I know this isn't usually the day for updates...Hopefully I don't disappoint anyone that this isn't actually an update for the story. But I have some news I would like to share with all of you regarding what I've recently been speaking with my beta reader.
I realize that the relationship I constructed with Andrew and Sage was VERY out of character. And I want to apologize for the way I've been handling it, I truly had everything planned out ahead that I didn't take a proper step back and think about things. And after rereading dozens of comments (New and old), I want to address a few things–
While I've been saying Sage and Remus are my end goal, I want to firmly address it in a possible rewrite, that I want to make it more known in the end.
Yes, I am looking to see if I am able to rewrite a few plot points. I know this would take a little while, but hopefully, you all would bear with me for a not-so-little process.
So what would this rewrite actually mean?
Well, I'll first be taking out the relationship that Sage briefly had with Maeve, I kinda left that on the back burner but I have mentioned in the past I wanted to remove it for a while now. So I think this is the perfect chance to do this.
But in other words, I plan on completely dismissing Andy and Sage/Hera as a couple. Yes, he will make an attempt on her, as I cannot erase his character entirely, considering Andy is Andrew and he will be very important later on. But I will be making the proper amends.
And unfortunately, I will still be having Andy offer the deal of escorting Sage to Crescent Moon in exchange for becoming his stand-in Luna. And perhaps having a temporary mark when the visiting Alpha arrives at Half Crescent. But NOTHING more will happen, Sage is going to have her voice heard if it's the last thing I have to say about it.When would this rewrite take place?
Well, I haven't finished the story following Moon Ridge, so perhaps this will work in my favor. But this would mean rewriting a majority of Half Crescent, the entirety of Moon Ridge, as well as rewriting the unfinished next story.--
In the end, I want to continue to make content that you all enjoy, and this plotline wasn't working out for anyone. Me included. Maybe that's why I haven't been able to write a good scene in so many weeks.
I do have to admit that I am at a standstill, these next few chapters are more Underground plot points and have little to do with Andrew.
So this is where I will ask the question that I am going back and forth with my Beta-reader:
-Do I continue posting and mark this book as complete as well as start the rewriting process?
-Or do I continue to move forward and let things work out in the way that I had originally planned?I want to take this opportunity to hear what everyone's thoughts are, and what you did and didn't like in the last two stories. Feel free to respond in the comments section or send me a private message.
I am listening.
However, after a few brutal messages that I tried to ignore, I will be taking a small break from posting to recess the situation and cool down. I hope you all will understand where I am coming from with this, I am human and sometimes I let my emotions get to me. And no, it isn't anything anyone said in the previous few chapters, it was a DM and this user is now blocked.
As a final note, I just want to let everyone know that I appreciate you and I truly want to know your thoughts on how to continue onward with Sage's Journey.Thank you.
