Now facts about characters since I can't find a photo that I like for Xzavier.
Sofia: -She's Thai -She loves spicy food -She obviously loves food from her culture but Korean food is close second -She had only dated boys before Eliot and only had sex with Brady before Eliot -She loves strawberry anything. If it has strawberries she'll buy it. -She doesn't understand not being rich but she tries to be sympathetic and understanding.
Eliot: -She is black -She loves combat boots. She'll pay all of her money on good doc martins -She makes her brother do her hair most of the time bc he's better -Tho her closet looks dark and depressing, she's a bright and bubbly person once you get to know her. -If she's not spending money on shoes, she is prob spending it on instant ramen. -When they move in together Sofia cooks her food and is the only reason Eliot isn't dead form too much packaged ramen.
Brady: -Raging trumper -Has a great family life bc he agrees with his dads views -Acts southern tho he's never been to the south -Thinks he's not privileged -Thinks white Americans (like himself) have culture, and got into arguments about that with Sofia
Max: -Thinks he's deserving of women bc he's the "nice guy" -Nerdy -Gets piercings to look tough -Couldn't throw a punch if he tried but thinks he could win a fight -Asks "where's my hug" -Joins a sketchy frat in college
Sasha: -Muslim -Loves gold and anything gold -Tries to incorporate gold and lace in all of her fits -Very bougie -Can't do spice but pretends to -Has an unsuspected potty mouth -Very lovey mom -Two brothers one older one younger -Loves dressing up -A small gust of wind will scare her
Xzavier: -Jewish -Tries very hard not to be a stereotypical Jewish boy and fails -Not good with spicy food but acts like he is bc he thinks Sasha is -Probably needs glasses and therapy but his parents don't allow him -Jokes that he is Jew-ish -Loves weird watches, shoes, and shirts and tries to get one everywhere he goes -Dreaded learning Hebrew for his Bar mitzvah but is happy he did since he's closer to his grandparents now -Went to an all boys elementary and middle school mostly bc his parents didn't want him getting with girls but he was gay so it didn't matter -Very lactose intolerant
Andrew: -Likes doing his sisters hair cause he gets all the girl gossip -Considers himself unlabeled and has a preference to girls, but has dated some guys -Always liked locks bc he could cover his face with them since he was very insecure growing up -Very protective with Eliot and all her friends -Always the designated driver -Makes the most amount of jokes over his dad being bald -Lets Eliot try different makeup styles and products on him -Likes crop tops -Gets his nails done with Eliot and Sofia

Btw before you ask "why'd you leave Sasha out for getting nails done?!?" She Muslim. Muslim women can't get their nails done bc they'd have to take it off for prayer. She usually uses a halal nail stain instead so her nails don't become too dead from peeling polish. I wanted to look into this (as any decent person would) so my charters were accurate enough. I never see people of color in these books and wanted to change that. I have not experienced as many hardships as some minorities but I am one myself and know it's hard to find good representation.
