My Night Routine

POV: Eliot
"Hey Eli!" I heard my dad scream as I walked through the front door. He came out of the kitchen in a slow sprint. "Hey Andy." He said doing that weird dude bro high-five body bump thing. Yk what I mean, right? "How was schoool?" My dad asked as he walked back to the kitchen, me and my brother following. We leaned on the counter as my dad continued making food. "It was great! I love my schedule and-" as Andrew was talking to my dad I was spacing out. That question made me remember today, and the people from it. Sofia. I know what you'll all say, and you're right. I'm whipped. Which is bad because I'm 99.9999999% sure, that she's straight. "So was your day just as great as Andy's honey?" My dad asked, taking me out of my daydream. "It was....aight." I say pushing myself on the counter. I start walking to the steps as I hear my brother say "suuurrree" and then he starts talking about seeing me with a girl, and how he said I "...totally likes her...".

I sigh as I open the door to my room. I close it and plop into my bed, looking at the ceiling. He's right, I did totally like her. I rolled over to my side. Maybe I'll join a club, or something. Maybe I'll bring a lunch tomorrow. No no. Maybe I'll- idk. Maybe I'll nap until dinner. Yeah I like that idea.

"Hey Eli time to- oh sorry!" Woke me up from my nap. I woke up with a gasp and I put my hand over my heart. I swear Andrew is going to be the reason I die at early age. "Didn't know you were sleeping." I says putting his hand behind his neck looking down. "Obviously." I say closing my eyes again stretching. "Oh shut it." He says rolling his eyes. I pick up a pillow and throw it at him. He lets out a dramatic gasp pick it up and throws it back at me, running away. I throw my cover off my legs and rush down the stairs. He sees me and lets out a high pitched scream. "Daaddd ELI IS TRYING TO KILL MEEEE!!!" He screams. My dad walks in on us, looks at us both, and sighs with a smile. "Well, dinners ready." He saying chuckling.

We all sat down and started eating. My dad made food today, spaghetti and garlic bread. He's been getting into cooking more which I love. "So what's your schedule like honey?" "Boring." I say. "Actually," Andrew starts. I kick his ankle. He kicks mine. We glare at each other. "Really Andy?!" I exclaim. "Nothing to be ashamed of Eli. You know, since you don't like her-" I smash bread in his mouth before he can finish. He's so easily distracted.

After dinner I go upstairs and I'm back to my room. I'm so bored. The Wi-Fi hasn't been working well so computer which takes away a lot of my hobbies. I text my dad reminding him so get me an extender so maybe I can use my devices, when a notification pops up. A text, from Sofia. Well Sofia ♥︎ to be exact.

Wow. A heart. Dammit brain why is that the only thing you focus on. I should probably try to sleep now. Tho I know I'm not going to sleep for a while.

I been sitting in my pjs for a while now. Just chillin. Doing the other hobbies I have that I don't need a computer for. I can draw. I like drawing random people that I make up, but recently I've been using references. I can't say I've improved but still. Growth 👍🏻.

I hear a knock at my door. It opens and reveals my dad. "Hey hon. I'm getting ready for bed, so just wanted to say night." He says. "Uh yeah night dad. Love you." I say turning my attention back to my drawing. "Aww no huh and kiss?" My dad asks. "YEAH ELI NO HUG AND KISS!" Andy yells, though he right being dad. Andy runs into my room giving me a big hug. I let my stuff up making sure he doesn't ruin it. "Aw Eli give your big bro a hug?" Andy says pouting. I set my stuff down and hug him back. He's the very huggy sibling. If you couldn't tell.

After a minute I push him off and he grunts as he falls to his but. We all laugh and say our good nights. They both leave and I'm alone. Again. I usually pretend I like being alone but if I'm being totally honest with (so don't tell anyone) I'm just as touch deprived as my brother.

With a sigh I wrap myself in my tower of pillows and blankets. I turn my lamp of leaving my nightlight on. Yes I have a nightlight. I scroll on my phone for a couple hours not even noticing the time passing by. I go on tiktok, WEBTOON, Wattpad, DoodleJump all my fav apps. I end with Spotify as I notice my eyes are getting heavy. I put my sleep playlist on which is titled "(u_u)". I let of a big sigh holding my stuffy and everything slows down and gets darker.

Then I'm out. Dead. Jkjk. I'm just sleeping. Or am I oOoOo.

This was looonnngggg. Idk if other will be tho. Also a day lasted like 100 damn chapter. I swear this is the only time that will happen lol. Make sure to vote at leave constructive criticism in the comments. People have had some problems with the constructive part before. Should I give one of them a cat or something. I'm thinking of it. If so who and what animal. Also my actual sleep time playlist on Spotify is named that so idk do with that what you will. Did I name it that to add more of myself into the story or because I have no creativity.
