Trigger warning (?): D slur.

POV: Sofia
She laughs and said "No no, it's fine. Also I can pick you up any time, if you need. Though I thought your boyfriend drives you to school?"  Oh right. Umm how do I explain.

POV: Eliot
I took a few glances as she thought of an answer. At least that's what it's looked like. I didn't know that was a sensitive subject?

"Well, he just didn't feel like it today." She said smiling at me then looking down at her hands. She looked guilty, like she did so things wrong. She was playing with her fingers, pressing her lips together. Why are you looking at her lips!

"Oh, okay." was all I said yet she let out a huff. My face contorted into a questioning look and I was about to say something before she spoke up.

"Oh who am I fooling. You know I'm lying so I might as well just tell you. He accused me of cheating. He probably told all of his friends, and the told all of there friends. And I'll have no friends- we'll except for you of course. But are we even friends?! Am I being too pushy. I feel like I am. Oh now I'm venting and putting all of this on you when you probably have much worse problems than me. Ugh!" she said waving her arm then rubbing her forehead. My mouth was wide open and I didn't know what to say. Every time I tried I shut it again and thought. "Great now I've made you uncomfortable. Oh my- I just- I'm sorry." She said sniffing.

"Umm it's.... fine. And I think we're friends so you can call me your friend. Also I hope I'm not being too pushy but why would Brady- his name is Brady right?" She nodded. "Why would Brady accuse you of cheating?" I asked. She sat and thought for a moment. "I don't know." She said dumbfounded. Tbh I don't either. Though I've been here for one day now, all I've heard about her is good things. "Then ask him. I'm sure if he even has a reason, you can talk through it and explain how you've never cheated. Communication is key to a good relationship." I said. I might've been in like one relationship but I know how to have a good one. Andy has told me all about it.

"Wow. Um, thank you... so much Eli." She said with a smile. I couldn't help the smile creeping up on my face as she did so. "No problem. See you in class." I said waving as she got out of my car. She shut the door and waved back at me, still smiling. When she was out of sight I looked down at my hands. I think I like her. Shit.

———————————

The day went by quick. Sofia gave me some of her old notes for certain classes. Other than that, the day was calm. You know what they say though, the quest before the storm or some shit. Well it's time for the storm. Oh god that sounded cringy. Whatever it lunch time.

I saw Sofia sitting with her friends. She looked over at me making eye contact and waved me over. I walked to her table and sat down next to her, feeling slightly out of place next to all of the cheerleaders and popular kids.

"Your the new kid right?" Some random boy asked. Before I could answer some girl answered for me. "Obviously. If she was here before I would've talked to her and been friends like that." She said snapping her fingers. "Oh what's your name?" Another file with a higher pitch voice asked. "Eliot." I said with a smile.

After that Sofia told me everyone else's name. They were all super nice. None of them were bitchy or anything like that. The conversation felt natural and I enjoyed taking to them all. That was until Brady walked over.

"Hey everyone." He said. He had a girl walking slightly behind him, a girl I removed people calling Britney. Well Britney had a smirk on her face. Like she knew something we didn't. Unlike Britney, Sofia had a hurt look on hers. Everyone else looked surprised like they saw two teachers fucking in the classroom. And I'm talking about like and old one and a young one- you know what, never mind.

Brady sat down on one side of Sofia with Britney never to him. Sofia looked at her hands again and sighed, only loud enough for the people right next to her to hear. "Why so silent?" Brady asked, though with his tone it sounded like he already knew the answer. On the other hand, I didn't. He got comfy putting his head on his elbows which were placed on the table. No one else was staring or anything. It's not that type of school. He sighed sucking his head forward to look at me past Sofia. Hey smiled at me and I furrowed my eyebrows. For some reason I feel like his smile doesn't mean anything good. He looked around the table, readjusting his smile into a smirk and sighed.

"Oh nice to meat you, I'm Brady though you already knew that. It's nice to meet the new school d*ke" he said popping the K and narrowing his eyes at me. All I could do was sit there in shock as everyone gasped. I mean it's not like I hide it. But damn I've been here for only two days now. "Yeahhhh. I looked you up online. I know what you are." He said his eyes still narrowed. He took a deep breath and said "Ok?" in the calmest voice ever, then went back to eating.

Sofia looked back and forth between me and him, like if she looked at us both she could find some hidden answer. She huffed turning to him. "Why would you say something like that!" She yelled. "You also accuse me of cheating?!" she said gesturing towards Britney with a scoff. "You're a- a- a dickhead!" Saying after trying to find the right word. Now other tables were staring. Okay maybe it is that type of school. Oh my.

Hey y'all. How are you doingggg. I had a pretty shitty day so I felt like writing something sad. Gonna vent a lil so you can skip but, I've been at my dads for the past two weeks now and I'm slowly losing my marbles. I have stayed inside almost everyday now and I have to sleep on the floor. But enough about me, let's talk about this chapter. More than 1000 words! Damn!
