POV: Sofia
It's the next day and me Eliot are sitting in the kitchen. All today and yesterday we've been avoiding the living room like the plague.

My mom is making pancakes and brunch potatoes, my favorite, and me Eliot are being super snuggly. My mom keeps making eye contact with me like she knows something.

"So how'd you girl sleep last night?" My mom asked out of the blue. "Good, why?" Eliot answered. "Oh no reason. I just thought you guys would be louder." She continues cooking. Me and Eliot's eyes go wide as we look at each other. "You know, teenage girls at sleepover can be very noisy." Though I can't see her I can hear her smirk. We try to laugh at that. "Yeah..." Eliot trails off.

After eating and getting changed we head out of the door. I gave Eliot my clothes. They might be more feminine for her but damn she's rocking it. Just as promised we are heading to the police. I'm not letting my father get away with this. Xzavier and Sasha are coming too.

We get there and there's police cars everywhere, people in handcuffs coming out of them. Once we walk inside there's all different types of people. Criminals, children, worried family, victims. We go up to a women at the desk who asks us what we needed. We told her and she said someone would be with us shortly.

A little later Xzavier and Sasha walked in together. When my mom heard I called them in for support she nearly broke down in tears. Now all her favorite people are here, and we can all help her.

We sat together holding hands until an officer called my mom back. She went into a more private room as they asked her questions. Not long after she walked out and they called me to come back.

I sat down in the glass room understanding this was serious. Serious things have never been my thing. Some people make lash out or make jokes, while I like to act like nothing is happening. Like I'm an innocent puppy who needs saving and nurturing. I walk past my roadblocks not with confidence, but with a blind eye. I can't do this though. This time I need to take out my rose colored glasses I walk through the roadblock, not around.

"So" the police officer said. "I've heard you are her daughter." I nodded. The women tilted her head down easing her eyebrows. And gasped and recomposed myself. "Uh- yes." The women smiled and licked her lips before she continued speaking.

The interrogation, or interview, I don't know, went by quickly. She asked questions like "do you know who did it?" "Were you there?" "Do you have any evidence?" I of course whipped out my phone and showed her pictures, and said that we haven't moved anything at the house if they wanted to check.

She escorted me out of the room back to everyone. She asked if anyone else had witnessed anything and with that Eliot walked back with her. Just like myself and my mom she was done quickly. They told us they'd contact us if they needed anything else or if they had updates. They asked if we knew where my dad was and if it'd be okay to ask him questions too. They made sure we were safe and suggested we get our locks changed until further notice.

My mom offered to take us all for lunch to do something more happy which of course we all happily went along. I sat next to Eliot and Xzavier in the back while Sasha sat with my mom. It wasn't till we left the police station that it clicked. Something might happen now. It won't just be yelling and broken vases. Things my get better. But most of all, my dad will be gone. I didn't know whether I was sad, or happy, or even mad. Though I don't think I owe anyone an answer.

As my eyes started to prickle with salty tears, Eliot looked over and sighed. She smiled as she wrapped her arm around my shoulder as I snuggled into her.

After lunch and talking we went our separate ways, even Eliot. I'm guessing her dad was worried sick because when Andy picked her up he was upset. I had kissed her goodbye but we have been texting ever since she got in the car.

It was now late and we're on a FaceTime call. I've been venting to her about my worries.

"I don't know I'm just worried. I feel like everyone will know!" I huffed. She smile and said "No one will know unless you tell them. You know Sasha and Xzavier would never tell. And neither there would I." I sighed. "Still" I whined. "Whatever." She puts her hands up in defeat. "You'll see. Everything will go back to normal. No, it'll be better than normal." She exclaims. "Sure..." I raise my eyebrows. "It will be. And if it's not. I'll make it. I'll slap whoever bullies you." I chuckled. "I can slap people myself you know." I laugh. "Oh I know." She smiles.

We sat our "good nights" and "love yous" and end the call. Today felt good. I feel good. For the most part as least. Sure I cried earlier, but now I don't feel any remorse. We called someone to change the locks and they did it quickly because we paid them generously. My dad can't get into the house and we're safe. We locked all windows and doors and turned on all alarms.

And now I can sleep.
