y/n's eyes opened drowsily to the morning sun pouring into his room before landing on the sleeping male beside him. a smile turned on his lips at the beautiful sight of his boyfriend's messy hair and slightly parted lips.
he slowly reached over to move a strand of his hair away from his eyes, able to admire his face more now. kai's eyes fluttered open unexpectedly, but y/n was unfazed and kept his gaze on the taller.
"good morning, baby." kai's voice was as endearing as ever, filling y/n's chest with the warmest feeling.
"morning, my love." y/n responded contentedly. kai's brows lifted a bit.
"my love?" he repeated. "i like that."
y/n's face quickly turned red, not even noticing he said it. he thought about it for a moment before realizing something.
"i love you, hyuka." he confessed. kai looked at him, a bit surprised. his smile grew ear to ear as his own cheeks began to turn pink.
"i love you too," he replied happily.
