A LIGHT SMILE GRACES ASTRID'S FEATURES, her hands brushing through Maya's hair as she watches the girl take a nap on her lap. The girl had worn herself out by playing with her toys and running around, ultimately finding a place in Astrid's lap and falling asleep. The mother held the girl close as she felt the clock ticking. She had lost hope in escaping Scipio, all ports shut down, and no way out without being pulled back into the Imperial's hands by a tractor beam.
It was only a matter of time until Vader barged through the door. Astrid had accepted her fate, eyes flitting over to the door every few moments. Although she had one last hope, a pager that led to Ahsoka. She had pressed the button three times signaling that she would soon be taken and waited for who would barge through the apartment first.
Her demeanor was calm for Maya, the last thing she needed was for her to freak out. But inside, she felt as if she was swimming in tide-infested water. Each attempt to rise to the surface only pulled her deeper into her dark and treacherous thoughts. She was paranoid. Every small movement had her heart racing.
