"Damn kid! Way to go!" Coach says as I step out the ring after getting my hand raised. I shook the other girl's hand but she just kept staring at me shocked. It got awkward when she wouldn't let my hand go.
"Alex. ALex. ALEx. ALEX. ALEX! ALEX!" The guys start to chant.
"Guys calm down!" I laugh at them.
"Alex no last name is the first person to beat one of the elites and she's a first year in the sport! No wing bat high has got at least one all star on the team yet!" The announcer praise.
"Was that necessary?" I ask.
"Yeah! That's a pretty big deal kid! Be proud!" Coach says. We just hang till the guys are up. We all won but I was still the fastest.
"No wing bat high has come from nowhere but is going to the top! All boxer from there has won there elite matches and have the highest starter score!" The announcer says.
"Well looks like our first year team is gonna set the bar." I say. We talk casually waiting for them to post the matches.
"Hey you're Alex right?" I turn to a voice and see the girl I beat.
"Yeah. I never got your name though." I say.
"It's Daniella." She says while smiling and holding out her hand. I went to take it when my team mate stopped me.
"Will you let go this time?" Kai asks. I elbowed him in the gut.
"Maybe I will maybe I won't. Depends on you." She says teasing him. My whole team stepped between us.
"Guys that was a joke." I say pushing them aside. I shook her hand and we let go. "See." I say. They shrug but stay close to my sides. I talked to Daniella and the guys talked amongst themselves.
"Daniella! We got a code red!" Someone yells.
"I think I got some stuff-" I went to say but stopped.
"Wait you know code red means... That?" The new girl asked.
"Yeah wrestling used that too." I state. "I'll get my bag just show me where they're at." I add. They nod and I got my things the guys were following close behind. Suddenly someone stopped them.
"Dude come on let us through!" Cole says. I turned and see security guards blocking them.
"Girls only area." One says.
"Guys! Wait here for me. I'll text you how long I gotta be there or if I'm coming out k?" I ask they nod. They lead me to a room and go in.
"We brought a friend w/ supplies!" Daniella says. I was able to quickly find the girl who needed help.
"Here choose what you need." I say and hand her my bag.
"Holy shit! What do you have an army of PMSing females?!" The girl asks.
"No but have you've ever been at a meet and it suddenly hits you there and heavy? Well that's what this is for. Also incase someone is a different size I got them all and the go away cramp drugs." I answer. All the girls in the room look at me shocked. "Hey I'm Alex what's your guys names?" I ask feeling awkward.
"Ok code red girl is Jenny. The one that got us is Kody. And the girls around the bed right to left closes to farthest are Jewly, Monica, Iida, Sammy, Trish, and Jordan." Daniella introduces.
"Nice meeting you all." I say. We talked while Jenny got fixed up.
"Omg! I love you so much!" I hear someone squeal before I'm engulfed in a hug. I laugh at her.
"Thanks for having me but I gotta go." I say. They all get visibly upset.
"Why? We still have break time." Trish asks.
"Is it because of those boys?" Daniella asks. I have my bag and was by the door.
"Yes because of my team. But there was no need to say it like that." I say opening the door.
"Dumb boys!" I hear Sammy say. I freeze and turn to look at them.
"Don't contract me outside of the ring or a code red again." I say and leave. No one disrespects my team. I storm/ rush out. I could hear them following me trying to catch up.
"Alex what's wrong?" Greg asks.
"Up and go." I say. I jump on his back and we take off.
"Hey! Put her down!!" I hear Daniella yell.
"Sprint!" I say and the guys go full throttle. We find coach pretty fast.
"Sorry we're late we had an emergency we helped w/!" We all say as I get off Greg. He catches on quickly.
"You're 5 minutes late! Each minute is 10 suicides!" He yells. We hear footsteps suddenly stop.
"Excuse us coach!" I hear Jewly say.
"What?!" Coach responds sounding pissed.
"We had to borrow Alex for something. She told us that she was running late and ran off. We came to ask if she can not be punished." She responds naturally.
"What?! Alex!! You get an additional 40 push ups!" He yells. People have stop to watch.
"Ok coach." I answer.
"Coach we asked if she could Not get punished." I hear Monica say.
"Even if one member was late they would all have to do it still because the work as a team and get punished as a team. Her trying to use an excuse to get out of it gets her more to do." He says more naturally than Jewly. "Come on let's go!" Coach yells. We jump and follow closely behind him. We got to our private warm up area quickly. Once we were there we closed the doors and collectively sighed.
"Thanks coach." I say grateful.
"No problem kid." He says.
"What happened?" Kai asks.
"I said I had to leave. That got upset and asked why. Daniella said it was your guys' fault. How she addressed y'all was way to rude. Sammy I'll show you her later said stupid boys talking about you guys. I got mad at that and told not to contact me unless we were in the ring or if there was another code red." I say in one breath.
"Awe you care about us!" Jay says. He then tries to hug and kiss me. I'm fending him off while the others laugh.
"You're not allowed away from us. Also stay away from all girls. Even refs." Keith says. We all freeze.
"Keith spoke." Jay says.
"And it was out of concern." Kai adds.
"For Alex." Greg chimes.
"Yep and I get to stay close to Alex at all times because of that display." He says.
"Sweet. But lets get some practice in. Has to look like we were doing something after our little show." I say. Coach was doing some paper work and we practiced. We ended up losing track of time.
"Guys come on! The matches are about to start!" A manager says bursting through the door.
"Shit! Come on guys!" Coach say. We quickly apply deodorant and rush out. We got to my first match on time.
"Holy shit! Alex you good?!" I hear Daniella say. I ignore her and start to get ready.
"First up we have newbie Alex the upriser! Against Samantha the thunder princess!!" The announcer says. I see Sammy in the ring. She smiles at me and waved a bit I just got into my stance. "Looks like someone got the upriser upset!" The announcer comments. The match starts and as soon as the bell rings my fist connect to her jaw and she's knocked out. "The upriser just up staged the princess! Alex has won yet again! Also a second win against another elite!!" The announcer says. The crowd is wild w/ cheers. "Sadly this is the last time today we can see this new star box! All her other opponents have conceded!!" The announcer says earning boos from the crowd.
"No mercy aye kid?" Coach says w/ a crocked eyebrow.
"Nope!" I answer w/ a popped p.
