"Happy Birthday, Kira!"

The feeling I have right now was all happiness. I was smiling the whole time when we entered the beach bungalow.

The banner with a big 'Happy Birthday!' a sign was plastered in front of the living room, the balloons with my favorite colors were scattered on the floor and my friends were already waiting and shouted surprise when they saw me.

It was really a surprise for me.

My eyes followed the confetti when it was thrown from above.

Mapupunit na siguro ang labi ko kakangiti.

"Surprise, Kira! Happy Birthday!"

They greeted me again. I was so sure that this is the first time someone surprise me. In any case, I'm always the person who surprises everyone.

"Thank you, guys." I muttered, smiling widely and received the gifts and bouquet of flowers they were giving me.

"Hay nako! Buti nalang 'rin at late ka! Perfect pa rin ang surprise! Galing namin diba? Even you? You totally forgot your birthday!" Sheen laughed and hugged me from the side. Napatawa nalang din ako dahil sa totoo lang nakalimutan ko nga. If it wasn't Quen's greeting earlier I'm totally forgot that it was my birthday.

I glanced at him when I remembered what happened a while ago. He was talking to Jack now and laughing but when he felt that I was looking, he turned to me and smiled. I showed him my wrist that had his gift on it and whispered 'Thank you'

Quen winked at me.

I really thought that this day was for us only. Hindi naman sa nagtatanong ako why Sean is here but it was rare for Quen to allow someone to join us.

"Kira, here eat first." My gaze turned to Sean when he held my hand and pulled me to the table where the food was placed. We decided to eat outside since the weather was nice, naglagay rin kami ng mga carpet para makaupo.

I'm happy that Sean is having fun with my friends. They were talking and laughing. It was a perfect day if you would ask me.

"You like it?" Hanna whispered on my side when I sat beside her on the carpet. Sean was getting me drinks from the table not away from me. I nodded to Hanna and grinned. "Quen planned this. He was right when he told us that you will definitely forget your birthday..." Hanna giggled and glanced at where Quen was sitting beside Mike. "He told us that you were occupied and tired to remember. Lucky us to have a friend like him." My eyes darted to him again.

I admit that these past few days I was having this weird feeling when I'm with Quen. I can point it out since it was new to me. We've been friends for a long time now and being with him was not new.

He compliments my work, even remembers things about me...his gestures.

Yeah, I was lucky to have a friend like him.

Hanna leaned on me and bumped my shoulder a little. Napatingin ako sakanya. She arched her brow.

"I hope Sean was the right guy now for you, Kira." she said and sighs. "I really hope, I think he was a good guy, after all."

"I hope so." Sighing with her and gaze at Sean when he sat beside me giving me drinks.

We talked and drank. I was not surprised that we had lots of liquor because that's what we do during overnights. To get drunk. But I think my body had a different plan when I felt I was not feeling well again. Nawala na 'to kanina pero bumalik nanaman and I think I know the reason.
