Alex:

As soon as I made it back I FaceTimed Ari. But it was like ten pm there so I had to wait until morning. This time difference thing is killing me. As soon as I woke up, which was at nine, ten am for her I called her.

"Who's that?" I heard a familiar voice.

"Oh, poop," I heard Ari say, "it's Alex. Quick, hide." Very subtle Ari. Very subtle.

"It's nice to see you too," I said.

"Oh, hi, Alex," she said, "How ya doing?"

"I'm doing fine," I said, "Who are you trying to hide?"

"Hide? Who's hiding?" Ari said, "Why would anyone be hiding. Unless your hiding someone."

"Ari," I said sternly. She let out an exasperated sigh.

"I'm trying to hide Nick, because he came and the man with the one eye. And his crazy mother."

"Wait what?" I said, "Nick's crazy mother came with the man with one eye and your trying to hide them?"

"No," Ari said, "Nick came here because of his crazy mother and the man with the one eye."

"Ari," Nick said finally coming into view, "Your getting it all wrong. I came here to make sure you were safe form the man with the one eye."

"Oh, yeah, what he said," Ari said.

"I'm going to pretend, I understand," I said, "I haven't called California yet, are they alright? Haven't like, died in my absence?"

"Uh, I'm not sure," Ari said, "I've been kinda busy."

"Ah right," I said, "Nick."

"Yeah," Ari said, "We made pie!"

"That's great Ari," I said, "I'm going to go call Mike now."

"Kk!" Ari said.

Ari:

"Bye!" Alex said hanging up. I sighed.

"I miss her," I said plopping down on a stool, "hey Nick, tell me a story."

"A story?" Nick said.

"Yeah," I said.

"Alright," he said, "uh, Once upon a time, there was a princess and a prince."

Nick:

"Aww," Ari said. I chuckled.

"So, this princess was the heir to the throne and her evil brother was trying to assassinate her so he would be king."

"Ooh."

"One day, the prince came visiting and he asked the princess to go on a boat ride with him. The princess said no because she was busy with trying to get rid of her evil brother. Months passed and the princess finally threw her evil brother in the dungeons. The prince came back and asked the princess to go on a boat ride and the princess said yes. They went on the ride and lived happily ever after." I stared at her waiting.

"That was so sweet," she said, "Where did you....Oh." it finally hit her, "I see what you did there." I laughed.

"So, what do you say?" I asked.

"I say," she said, "my dad would probably murder you, in your sleep. So ask him first." I laughed leaning my head back. Then it actually hit me. I'd have to walk up to her dad. And ask him if I could take his daughter on a date. I imagined his raised eyebrows. His evil smile as if to say, 'In your dreams SUCKAAAAHH!' I shivered at the though.
