Meet the Parents: Part 1

I kind of checked this, but there still might be mistakes. So just ignore 'em. Hey guys I spelled egnor right! Wait, ugh. *face palms.

Alex:

"Alex," Mike said, "Breathe."

"I can't," I said, "I can't."

"What could go wrong?" He said, "It's just your parents."

"What could go wrong!" I said, "Let's see, they could decide to take us back, they could decide to stay here, until I don't know. The Joker could come and blow up the house, we could get attacked by King Kong, Maleficent could come and poison our food, do you want me to continue!?!?!" He laughed.

"Okay," he said, "here, I thought I had a big imagination."

"I don't," I said folding my arms, "I'm just being open to ideas." He kissed my forehead.

"It'll be just fine," he said, "Even Ari's pretty calm."

"Ah!" We hear someone scream, "No, no no! NO! AH!" We run to the scream. There sits Ari, reading a book. We duck as she throws it at the door.

"What, was that for?" I asked.

"He died!" She said, "he died! He died! John Green, is a murderer!"

"Wait, your reading The Fault In Our Stars?" I asked. She nodded meekly.

"You've already read that book," I pointed out, "And, you've seen the movie."

"I know," she said pouting, "It's still sad." I rolled my eyes.

"You're screaming about a book, but your not at all wondering why mom and dad are suddenly coming for a visit."

"Well," she said, "We haven't seen them in like three months, they just want to check up on us."

"Yeah, whatever," I said.

"I bet they just miss us soooooooo much," Ari went on, "They probably just want to see us." I nod. After what feels like forever, Nate, Addy, Ivory, and Edward come.

"Wow," Edward said, "Ari looks so nervous."

"Oh no," I said to him, "Gus died, so she's a little off."

"Who's Gus?" Edward asked.

"Hazel's boyfriend," I said.

"Oh," he said. He bit his lip and walked up to Ari.

"I'm uh," he said, "Sorry for your loss." I wanted to laugh, but I also want to see how this turns out.

"What?" Ari said confused.

"Um, I'm sorry that Gus died," Edward said.

"Oh," Ari said, "Yeah, I can't believe it! Who would kill such an awesome person!"

"Wait," he said, eyes wide, "He was killed?"

"Well, yeah," Ari said with a slight eye roll, "Thanks to John Green."

"Wait!" Edward said, "I thought that John Green was a writer! He killed a person!" Of course at the moment, we hear a knock. Mike goes, fixes his hair and opens the door. Grandma and grandpa won't be here for a few hours, so we have to take care of everything. Mike opens the door to our parents.

"John Green is a murderer!" Edward yells to the door, "Oh, uh, hi."

"Wait," Ari said, "It's just a book charact-"

"He killed, Gus though," Edward said in a more civilized tone, "We must call the FBI." Ari walked up to Edward.

"Ed," she put a hand on his shoulder, "He's just a book character."
