Alex:
We've been to the hospital everyday for a week now. And I have to admit, it gets boring. We take turns because only four people are allowed there. I now have to wait to go in because Nick, Mike, Edward, and Daniel are going. Odd group. But, they are. Nike and Mike are keeping something secret and it's getting on my nerves. I need to know!!
Ari is completely oblivious to Daniel's flirting. She still giggled whenever anyone mentions the word 'Nick'. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if she knew when someone was just thinking his name. She's literally love struck.
Daniel:
"How are you doing Mr. Chance?" I asked politely. I realized I needed to get close to Ari dad if I'm going to get close to Ari because if you haven't noticed, she's a daddy's girl.
"I'm doing good how about you Darin?" He said.
"It's actually Daniel," I said.
"Whatever Delilah," he said. Delilah? Seriously? That's girls name!
"Nick! Ma man!" He said. They bro hugged and started talking. Of course their best buddies. The guy saved his life and what did I do? Nothing? Absolutely nothing. I sighed and flopped on the doctors swirly chair.
"So, what do you do for a living?" Edward asked.
"Well, Eddy," he said. Wait, hold up. So, he knows Nick's name, and Mike's name, he gave Edward a nick name and he calls me by a girl's name. Dandy. Just dandy.
"I started up the Green Corporation," he said, "Most of the stuff you recycle goes to us and we make things out of it."
"Oh yeah," Edward said, "I get my paints from them. Or, you."
"Yeah," Mr. Chance said, "We make a whole lot of stuff. Right now, we're working on our biggest project yet."
"What is it?" I asked slightly interested.
"It's going to be a phone, made out of recycled stuff," he said, "We're trying to make it cheap, but high quality, and if it gets broken or anything, you can recycle them."
"That's so cool!" I blurted. Stupid brain.
"Yes, it is," Mr. Chance said, "But, we're still making it up. Right now it's just an idea." He smiled slightly. But it wasn't a real smile. It was more of a 'I hope we can stop talking about this really really soon' kind of smile. But, being the nerdy person I am, I wanted to know how it was going to work. How expensive would it be. How sturdy would it be. What was the name of it going to be. I asked, all these questions. Yes. Yes, I did.
"The truth is, I really don't know who to get to help me out on it," he said, "We're so busy trying to partner with Green-Tech, but they think the phone won't be worth it."
"Well, you'll just have to prove them wrong right?" I said, "It'll be their loss."
Nick:
I watched as Daniel and Mr. Chance talked nerd. I felt like that Daniel was slowly trying to steal Ari, now her dad. It needs to stop. Soon. But, why stop it when I'm leaving? Speaking of leaving, I need to talk to Mr. Chance privately. I waited, and waited as they talked about Daniel working for Mr. Chance. But, but, but I thought I was your man.
"How old are you again?" Mr. Chance said, "You have to be eighteen and older." I'm eighteen and older!
"I turn eighteen in December," Daniel sighed.
"Aw," Mr. Chance said, "Well, when you turn eighteen stop by, and we can talk further."
"Oh, I'm so, thirsty," Mike said, "Daniel, could you get me a drink?"
