"One last time," I growled, twitching my fingers temptingly toward the towering Alpha. "I'll let you make the first move."
He stood there without much care for my taunts, his expression so blank and indifferent to the situation. "You'll leave me alone once this is over?" he asked, placing his hands lazily into his jacket pockets. "I find that hard to believe."
"I'll win this time," I announced, grinning confidently toward my greatest opponent. He arched a brow in disbelief, but I didn't care. I had trained. I had fought through every stage to get to him. Yes, I had failed, but I wouldn't fail again. This was it. I was going to reach the top; I could smell my victory so clearly!
"Good grief," he grumbled in annoyance, tipping his hat ever so slightly down the way he always did. It hid the raging ocean of eyes he wore upon his beastly face, almost making him seem much more menacing. "Make it quick."
An overjoyed smirk crept its way onto my impatient expression, and I felt my body tense with anticipation. I was there. I was right there! Everything was silent, the dimming sky of the chilled night gaining nothing over my vision. My eyes were fixed only on him. Only my eyes were fixed on him.
Everything was perfect.
I sprinted forward, the wondrous breeze of his unsuspecting scent wafting through my h/c hair beautifully. I leaped from side to side, rounding his every corner in search of an opening. I watched as he nonchalantly turned his head with my movement as though he'd memorized my every step. I would strike him where I knew he could rarely block. His-!
My body fell to the ground as a blazing heat struck my core. Everything seemed to nearly stop in time, moving like molasses as I grasped his leg in confusion. I hadn't tripped. My knees had simply given out as though they'd snapped beneath me. I stared with such wide eyes at his motionless foot under my trembling arm, not even knowing where to start. My core, my legs, my arms, my head, my throat, my heart- I...
Everything was burning with an agonizing flame, exploding within every inch of my being. My mind swirled and mixed amid chaos, but, in the end, nothing was concocted from the jumbled thoughts and feelings and...
...No.
There was one thing.
Oh... there was... one thing.
Alpha.
Oh.
Fuck me.
"Hey," he snarled, kicking at my defeated yet untouched body. I fell limply to the ground, panting and whining in pathetic confusion. "Are you a fucking Omega?"
Huh?
I looked up at him, painfully forcing my chin to tilt toward his face. A face so flushed and shocked at the sight of me.
Did he say Omega?
"N- No," I breathed, flinching as he kicked away my hand that had crawled to his foot without my consent. I hadn't even realized...
"Then what the fuck is this scent?" he shouted, looking frantically for anyone around. The alleyway was empty, but inevitably nearby Alphas would smell me. I scratched at the ground in quiet moans, seeming to slowly understand what was happening. "A doctor... or something. Your parents. Call your parents."
He looked around the corners of the buildings beside the street before quickly kneeling down above my head and picking up my shoulders. He dragged me further into the alleyway, each little movement triggering something unfamiliarly pleasant within me. Yet each pleasant feeling evoked a much more agonizing one.
"I- I can't," I whimpered, lifting my hand uncontrollably toward his face above me. I touched it and its soft... gentle skin. His cheek was so smooth and clear; It felt like silk on my poor hand. "I can't call anyone. It's impossible, but... what if it's real?" I asked, feeling blazing tears well up within my bloodshot eyes.
"I don't know," he growled, dropping me harshly onto the concrete without much care as he trudged away. His hands covered his face, rubbing at his features vehemently. "But you're leaking pheromones like crazy! Someone's gonna come and... Good grief. What the fuck is going on? You've been an Omega this whole time?"
"No!" I exclaimed, the words giving me such a horrible feeling in my already bruised heart. "I don't know what's going on! I- I feel so hot and- What if it's real? Kujo, what if this is real? I'm gonna be raped. Fuuuck... I'm so scared. I'm so fucking scared."
I'd curled my knees to my chest, laying exhaustingly on my side. Tears had begun to stream down my bright pink cheeks from both the pain of understanding and the pain of the... heat.
"I don't... want this."
He didn't say anything. I mean, how could he? His rival had suddenly collapsed because she was a fucking Omega. He must have been so disgusted.
"I swear I'm an Alpha. I'm a fucking Alpha!" I yelled, covering my ears as my screams echoed throughout the howling darkness of the alleyway. My own words clawed at my skin, peeling strips off little by little until they reached the deepest parts of me. I was an Alpha... so what the fuck was happening? I could go into a rut, but that would only occur when an Omega in heat was like... right in front of me. And even if that were the case right then, the intensity of the desire and agonizing feeling was far too big.
"Do you have medicine... or something?" Jotaro asked, his voice soothing the pounding drums in my head only momentarily.
"Why would I?" I scoffed, letting my hands fall to the ground amid gasping breaths. "I don't have anything. I just want to go home!"
"Then go."
"I can't," I whimpered, feeling more tears slowly flood my useless eyes. "Mama... she'll be so sad."
"Go home," he commanded, walking even further away without much care. "You're not safe out here right now."
"I know... where you can get medicine," I confessed all so suddenly. I hadn't meant to say it, for my knowing such a thing was already enough to put me in jail for a year. "I know a Beta who... ha... wanted her Omega friend to meet this Alpha because... mgh... he was really nice, and she asked me t- to pick up some extra medicine for her so that she was safe, and-"
"Where?" His voice was so low and serious. He looked into my eyes with an unfaltering gaze. I felt my body tense at the sight of it, my jaw clenching tightly together as I fought the urge to pathetically call out to him.
"The Ramen shop on Mr. Ito's property has a downstairs," I explained, letting out breathy and quiet moans every few words. I felt so stupid speaking to him, but he... he never once looked at me with an expression of distaste. "Just tell them you need some heart candy, okay? Uh... the tiny pink kind. Remember that..."
"And you?" He pointed to my body as though I were a nuisance he needed to take care of. "You're just going to stay here." Though I guess that's what he was doing in the end.
I nodded. "I'll be fine," I assured, forcing a smile with every bit of strength I could muster. "I can fight. I'm... an Alpha, after all."
