It was only when everything had settled down that I had noticed something different. The air seemed... a bit denser. I felt like it was hard to breathe, and the scent of my classmates' pheromones was so noticeable when I'd practically zoned them out before.

And... Kujo, who sat so close to me, gave off such an intoxicating scent. If I wasn't careful, I'd find myself leaning closer to him just for the pleasure of it.

It all made me feel... a bit dizzy.

Kujo placed a metal bottle on my desk, returning to his notes naturally. "Drink some water," he whispered, his voice nearly silent amid my pounding head. I nodded, having no need nor strength to object.

"Thanks," I mumbled before gulping down the refreshing liquid. I hadn't even realized how dry my throat was until the miraculous substance had healed it with its spell. I placed it back on his desk carefully to not draw any eyes toward me. I had a feeling my cheeks were as pink as I knew they were from the lack of air while drinking the water so desperately.

"You need to leave," Jotaro suddenly spat, gripping the side of his desk with a jaw clenched tightly enough to crack his teeth. "Leave."

I didn't question it. I raised my hand and went to the bathroom. I hurried, practically sprinting there. It was pheromones, right? Damn it!

I'd been so worried about going into heat that I'd forgotten to block my scent glands. Medicine could only stop a heat from occurring; they didn't block scent glands from releasing pheromones. I'd forgotten that. No, I'd forgotten the fact that my pheromones were different completely. I needed to block them somehow.

Some patches could do it just by sticking them to your skin.

     I needed one.

I knew how to get to the other side, and just knowing that could get me in jail, but I knew. There was a bathroom twenty feet from the border, and a single ceiling tile could be lifted and slid away far enough for a smaller person to fit through.

I, much unlike most Alphas, was on the... smaller side. I'd always hated it and wondered when I would grow big and frighteningly tall like my peers, but... my time had never come. Now, my petite figure would come into hand. I could pass as an Omega on the other side. If they smelled my pheromones in the infirmary, they wouldn't ask for my I.D. That was... if the infirmary on the other side was identically run as the one on my side.

I would have to take the gamble. I had no other choice.

I quickly found my way through the ceiling, being sure to crawl only over the edges of the tiles where there wouldn't be a weak area to place my limbs. Within a minute, I was hopping into a stall on the other side.

I froze suddenly before walking out. My face. Cameras would see my face; I had to cover it. I could prevent the cameras from viewing my face, but it would look suspicious. If I'd had a mask, it wouldn't have looked odd at all... but I didn't.

I had toilet paper... hair... some gum...

I had a hair tie. I could somehow shape my hair into covering most of my features. It would look ridiculous, but fashion in those days wasn't pretty anyway. I tied my hair back, pulling lightly at some areas and taking out strands in others. I looked in the mirror with very little confidence. It would have to do.

My heart was pounding like crazy, racing against the time I didn't have. I quickly walked out, my hands politely held in front of me and my head tilted far down toward the ground. Omegas were often quiet and gentle beings. I had to do some work in getting past people.

The infirmary was close to the border, and it seemed empty when I walked in. I took the chance. On my side's infirmary, there was a sectioned bin for SSDA: Second-gender Specifically Designed Aid. Just as I'd assumed, there was a bin on this side as well. I opened it silently yet quickly, carefully searching through the unfamiliar articles until I found them. I grinned, looking at the bags and bags full of them. One bag was about five; there were no opened bags. I didn't want to take the whole thing, but I could sense someone approaching.

I grabbed the bag, shoved it into the pocket of my skirt, and ducked behind the desk. I knew it wasn't the wisest decision, but I was confident in how softly my feet could move. I wasn't confident in how fast I could locate and move to a better hiding place.

A woman walked inside. She was a Beta, which made me so glad that she hadn't been in there before. If she had, she wouldn't have been able to smell my pheromones and would've asked for an I.D.

She was quick in her steps, moving swiftly toward the other end of the room. I waddled out from underneath the desk and escaped through the door without being seen. I smiled at my skills, though they were a bit rusty as of late.

I took a deep breath, calming my speedy heart as I stumbled through the hall. The bathroom was close; I was nearly there. The only thing to worry about then was what to say when I got back after such a long time.

As I turned into the bathroom, my body slammed into something, and I stumbled backward, grumbling in annoyance. Before I could look up, my heart suddenly skipped a beat, and I had a horrible feeling in my chest. I jolted my head toward a man, and before I could think anything else...

     Alpha.

Perhaps it was because I was so used to their presence, but I knew he wasn't meant to be there right away. I screamed at my heart to calm the fuck down, and it listened slowly and reluctantly.

"Sorry," he mumbled, quickly scurrying away from me.

I sighed, looking back at the target room, realizing he had come out of the girls' bathroom. Something like that wasn't punishable by prison, but it could arouse suspicion easily. I wasn't so careless.
