Sophie's POV

It was finally Friday... School was boring actually because all I could think of was the mission.

At 8pm

I slept the moment I got home and now it was 8 pm which meant two hours to the mission.

I wasn't excited about the mission at all, I really didn't want to see blood spill tonight but then again... I volunteered.

Yes you did now suck it up and do it

The voice in my head whispered. I sighed and walked downstairs.

"Hey" I said to Xander and he nodded

"What are you doing here?" He suddenly asked making me turn around slowly.

"Excuse me? I was bored upstairs" I said harshly and he sighed

"I'm worried about this mission" he said softly making me smile

I walked up to him and kept my hand on his shoulder.

"I won't die and if I do...please bury me at my parent's house" I joked

He looked at me and slowly his hand came up and touched my chin,lifting my face up slightly. I gasped softly

His face inched closer and he stopped inches from my face. He scanned my face and smiled.

I pushed his hand down from my chin and glared at him.

"What are you doing?" I asked softly and he shrugged

"None of your business" he said and I scoffed

"Really? Looking at my face without permission is none of my business but yours? Sure" I said in disbelief.

He walked back to the counter smiling, "You just have to be yourself" he blurted out making me laugh

"Did I catch a glimpse of your motivational side?? Please never let me see again" I laughed hard.

"You're crazy" he said and sipped his milk.

"I'm going upstairs to get ready" I said and walked upstairs

Xander

The door opened and The guys walked in smiling widely.

"Were you guys just released from the asylum?" I asked jokingly

"Yh but we couldn't find you...our captain" Chase blurted out making everyone laugh.

"Where's Sophie?" Ethan asked and I pointed towards the stairs. He nodded and headed upstairs

"Where are you going?" I stopped him. He smiled putting his hand up in surrender

"Going to check up on her" He simply said

"Dude! What's your plan anyways? Do you have a thing for her?" I asked lowly

He chuckled

"Broooo you know how I am, I'm not you... I have a girlfriend and you know... Sophie's a person we all like. But I know she's not ordinary so I can't be her friend? Besides I don't date my friends' lovers" he said

"Excuse me?" I asked

"You guys are going to love each other so much that'll hurt" Tina said

"I don't do love" I gritted

"Not this time boo boo bear. You're gonna fall" Chris added making me scoff and walk back to the counter.

They were being ridiculous. I can never fall for Sophie.. Not now not ever.
