Chapter 52

Xander's POV

Today was a Saturday and school resumes on Tuesday

Fuck school!

I heard a knock on my door, I sighed

"Come in" I said and Sophie strolled in with a deep frown

I rose an eyebrow at her frown

"Good morning" she said

"Someone didn't wake up at the right side of the bed" I teased and she rolled her eyes

Something was definitely wrong

She placed a tray filled with fried eggs and four slices of bread and a cup of tea

"Who is this for?" I asked in shock

She rolled her eyes

"Duhhh you" she said and I chuckled

"Four slices of bread for me? I'm a fighter... How can I eat this? I'll die of hunger" I complained

"It's called 'breakfast' for a reason Alex, so eat and please call me if you're done" She said and I sighed sadly at the little food

She walked towards the door

"Heyyy!!! Easy!!" Sophie yelled and I looked up to see who she was yelling at

It was Brian

Another guard of the mansion

"Sorry. Young Master?" He said with a bow

"How can I help you? You're ruining my breakfast" I said, obviously bored and waiting for him to leave the room

"Lio Rica is here" He said making me drop my spoon out of shock

Lio Rica!!! Oh no!!

"Understood....I'll be down after I'm done with breakfast" I said and he nodded before walking out

"Who is----

" Young Master Alex. Rica asks of your presence downstairs " A man in his late twenties walked in all dressed in black

I rolled my eyes

"I'm having breakfast as you can see" I said ,sipping my teaand he gave a tight lipped smile

"Am I to tell the Rica that?" He said

I reluctantly looked up at him, raising an eyebrow

"Of course..... would you rather let me go downstairs and you finish my breakfast" I asked in anger

He gulped slightly and bowed before walking out of the room

I sighed and continued eating

"Who's-----

"My step dad" I answered before she could ask

I looked at her waiting to see her expression. She remained calm as she stared back at me

I sighed and took a sip of my tea, closing my eyes and sighing at the sweet taste

I've never told her but I never drank tea before she came to work here

Nobody could make my tea how I liked it

Only Sophie can

She watched as I ate, I ate at a very slow pace because I wasn't looking forward to meeting Rica

"You might wanna hurry up...it's been 15 minutes since he summoned you" she said with a scowl

"Twenty minutes to be exact and yes I'm waiting for my food to digest" I said with a smirk

She sighed before grabbing my arm and yanking away with her

On our way downstairs, Tanny ran towards us

"Hey Soph,Hello Sir... Sophie you might wanna find chores to do" he said breathing heavily

"Why?" I asked him and he bowed his head slightly

"Mrs X told him about the new staff in the house and he wants to be convinced she's a hard worker" He explained making me ball my fists

"There's no need to work for him to be convinced....I have work to do trust me....that study needs cleaning a and the house at the back needs cleaning too...I'm busy" Sophie said and I could sense slight anger in her words

Tanny gave an apologetic smile before turning around to walk away

"That's annoying" She said

"That's how it is when he's home.... Sorry" I said say And she smiled before walking away to do her work

I got downstairs and met Mum and Rica smiling at each other,eating breakfast

I noticed the empty seat and a plate filled with food

I rolled my eyes

"Ven aquí mi hijo"
(Come my son)

"No soy tu hijo. Rica"
(I'm not your son. Rica)

"Respeta la presencia de tu madre"
(Respect your mother's presence"

I was really getting angry at this moment

"No me digas que hacer"
(You don't tell me what to do"

"Deja de discutir!!"
(Stop arguing!!!" Mum yelled

I glared at her

"Habla con tu esposo mama"
(Speak to your husband mum)
I said with gritted teeth

Mum sighed and gave me a small smile, asking me to sit with them

I plopped down on the chair,still feeling my blood boil

How was she even engaged to him?

"I see you got a new maid" He said

I rolled my eyes

"You didn't 'see', mum gossipped" I harshly said making him chuckle

"Of course of course....I'll be here for a month....let's watch her do her duties right" he said

I slammed my hand on the table,the plates crashing onto the floor

I smiled widely

"That will be the worst month of your entire life" I said and he smiled in return

"Challenge accepted" he said and I stormed off
