Chapter 39

Sophie's POV

Monday morning

I went to school myself, things weren't going to change between Xander and I just because of the mission.

I got to school and of course Eva hugged me tightly. "Guess what?" She squealed receiving a shrug from me in response making her pout

"You're no fun.... But anyway remember my cute guy.... He's here today!!" She squealed making me groan slightly.

"Wow! Good for you Eva, guess a new boyfriend's coming up soon" I teased and she giggled.

Xander walked into the hallway and as usual...girls squealed at him,he smirked and blew a kiss here and there.

"What an attention seeker" Eva hissed

"Tell me about it" I agreed

He suddenly walked towards me with a cold stare. "Can you move?" He darkly said making me roll my eyes at him

"You obviously walked up to me and 'can you move'?" I flatly replied

And soon a glare contest began

"Sophie?" I heard a familiar voice making me look behind Xander.

I squinted my eyes and the face came clear... James

Without thinking, I ran towards him and jumped on him. He caught me by the waist pulling my body into his.

My arms were wrapped around his neck... He dropped me gently, smiling widely

"I've missed you Soph" He said in his deep yet cute voice.

"I've missed you too James" I replied making him giggle.

"Woah woah woah!! What's going on here?" Eva asked making me shrug. She smacked my arm

"Don't shrug" she scolded making James laugh

"Hi, I'm James...Sophie's friend" He said and Eva nodded in disbelief

"So...my cute boy happens to be your friend?How?" Eva asked

I was about explaining when students started rushing into the hallway standing at different lockers and looking at papers.

"What's going on!!?" Eva yelled and Amy stepped out of the crowd.

"I think there's something you would like to see" She said and threw a paper towards us. Eva glared at her slightly before picking the paper.

"What the fuck?" She hissed and turned to look at me

Xander was gone by now.

"What's in it?" I asked curiously

"You're a maid? Or I'm reading things wrongly?" Eva said harshly. I gulped and suddenly remembered the weird feeling earlier.

Amy smirked "She works in the Xavier's mansion... My Xander's maid...which makes you my maid too" Amy said loudly and Eva cursed before running towards Amy and slapping her across the cheek.

"Don't you dare say shit!!!" Eva yelled and I could feel everywhere spin. James held my waist gently keeping me steady.

"Well, we can't know...let her pull off her mask...so we can know if she really is Xander's maid" Someone suggested and others mumbled in agreement

The chant continued and I could feel myself go down slowly. Tears flowed down my face, my chest tightened and breathing became hard.
