POV
"The Lord be with you Sister Sierra" The priest said while bowing slightly
"Oh it's okay sir. I'm just doing what I need to"
She slowly walked out of the church, searching through her purse for her phone.
"Good evening Miss, how do you do?" Sierra slowly looked up to see a man dressed in a black hoodie, pants and a face cap smiling at her.
"Why is he looking at me that way?" She thought before nodding politely at whatever he just said
"You don't have to feel weird. We'll meet again" He chuckled before dashing off into the dark.
"This country's getting worse" She sighed before getting into her car.
*************
"How are you doing?" Alex's face lit up as he saw Sierra walk into his office
"I'm all good, how are you?" Se replied with a smile, trying her best to make it look natural and not forced.
"I was about going downstairs to pack a few things for tomorrow's shoot"
"Okay then, I'll wait"
Alex walked out and the moment he was out of sight, Gary walked up to Sierra with a frown
"It's lovely and cute to see you two so happy together but you need to stop and go back to not wanting to work with him" He snapped
"Excuse me?"
"I'll go straight to the point. Alex is being followed because of you. They followed him in the morning and someone sent a threatening text"
"What?"
"Sierra I know this is hard for you but he could be hurt if he keeps seeing you.
You wouldn't want him to die, would you? Think about it and do the right thing"
Sierra stood frozen in Alex's office, her mind racing with Gary's warning: "Stay away from Alex if you don't want him to get hurt." She couldn't shake off the image of those strange men lurking in the shadows.
"Sierra?" Alex called out, breaking the spell.
She turned to him, trying to compose herself. "I...I was just looking for a file," she stammered.
Alex raised an eyebrow. "At my desk?"
Sierra forced a laugh. "I must have gotten confused. I'll...uh...find it later."
Without another word, she turned and hurried out of the office, leaving Alex looking puzzled behind her.
As she emerged into the hallway, she couldn't help but glance over her shoulder, feeling like she was being watched. Gary's words echoed in her mind
*************
Sierra's eyes were fixed on the makeup station, her hands moving with precision as she worked on the actor's face. Alex approached her, a concerned expression on his face.
"Hey, is everything okay? You seem a bit...off today," he said, trying to sound casual.
Sierra didn't look up, her voice curt. "I'm just busy, Alex. We're on a tight schedule."
Alex nodded, but lingered, trying to get her attention. "Sierra, I know something's wrong. You've been avoiding me all morning."
Sierra sighed, finally meeting his gaze. "I told you, I'm busy. And I need to focus on getting this makeup just right." She gestured to the actor's face, her eyes flashing with a hint of irritation.
