The Apex Predator crashed through Hank Hall's statue. It tore the stone down to rubble. Landing upright. Its blade-like claws crumbled the stone to dust. Its horrid jaws opened to unveil a mouthful of teeth large enough to grind limbs whole. It stalked toward a student.

He cried out and fell on his backside. The shattered glass beneath him sliced his hands as he crawled backwards. His back met the wall. He whimpered and shut his eyes tight.

"Rah!" Crush rammed into the creature. The collision shattered the glass board above the cowering student.

The Apex Predator screeched. It slid on its hind legs. As the creature righted itself, its eyes flickered a bright green.

"Yer in the way!" Crush screamed at the kid.

He crawled toward the door.

The Apex Predator lunged at Crush. She caught it by the jaws. Crush slammed the monster into the wall. It snarled and death rolled out of her grasp.

Another monster crashed through the doorway headfirst. It charged Crush.

"Frag," She muttered before it struck her. She was speared through the wall.

The student cried out. He turned back at the crunch of glass. An Apex Predator stalked toward him. Slime dripped from its jaws as they parted.

The Apex Predator lunged at him.

An orb of cobalt light shot into the creature's unhinged mouth. The orb melted through Its backside. The creature dropped dead.

Neutrois stood over the student. They lowered their hand. The pulsing orbs of light in their palms died out. They extended a hand to him. "Come on Tooby."

Neutrois helped him to his feet.

"Neutrois? Thank God. I don't know what's going on! Miss Troia went crazy and now there are monsters attacking the school." Tooby rambled.

Neutrois took him by the shoulders. "Tooby, look into my eyes," They commanded. The boy obliged. "Everything is fine. You're going to take a deep breath and get control of your breathing. I'm going to send you somewhere safe in three...two..."

Tooby vanished in a flash of cobalt light. Crush leaped through the hole in the wall. She landed with a grunt. "Where's the freshman?" She asked.

"Safe," Answered Neutrois. They phased through the Nth Metal floorboards.

They landed on the 9th floor. A line of students jumped as their boots hit the ground. "It's just me," Neutrois assured them with raised hands.

"There's my favorite blue enby when I need them most!" Cheered Bunker. He approached from the head of the line, his violet suit flowed as he jogged.

"Bunker, what's going on?" They asked.

"I need a portal or sonethin' to get these students to the panic room." He said. He leaned in and whispered. "I'm freakin' out."

Neutrois glanced at the freshmen. A wave of fear struck them. It clenched their heart. Their hands trembled, along with their voice, as they spoke. "Can do."

They opened their hand and lifted it. A cerulean flame spread from their palm to their fingers. They thrusted it outward. A portal unfolded from the ether.
