Heathers Sad Story

Chapter 8

"I'm glad your back Heather." Dean said to me.

"I'm glad too. I missed you. I was so lonly without you. Your my best friend. And I can't wait until you transfer back." Amber said to me.

"Oh I'm gonna cry guys. I missed you too!" I said as I lifted up my arms to grab something. Amber looked at my wrists and saw cuts.

"Um. Heather?" Amber said after everyone else had left.

"Yes amber? I said.

"Let me see your wrists. Now"

"What? Why?"

"Just let me see. Or I'm going to tell Bob what I saw. And then you will have to show him."

"Fine. You can look." I said showing her my wrists.

"You cut yourself still? I thought you stopped."

"Well I didn't stop. I've just been hiding it. And none of you guys have noticed it. Also how did you know?"

"When you were reaching for a book on the top shelf I saw the cuts so I had to be sure first. But I didn't want to make a scene so I waited until everyone left."

"Oh. Well I will be more careful next time."

"No just don't cut. Please."

"Why don't you want me to?"

"Because. Heather your my best friend I don't want you to get hurt. And you shouldn't do that when you are having a problem just talk to me about it."

"Ok. Well my problem is that Bob wants me to stay single but I want to go out with him or Roman. I like both of them."

"Oohhhhh. Boy problems. Ok. So I think that you should date Bob... That's just my opinion."

"But what about Crystal. She dated him and she still loves him. I can tell. And I am pretty sure that he loves her too." I said while trying not to cry.

"Well we can talk to her about it."

"I am afraid that she will be mad at me if she finds out that I want to ask Bob if he will go out with me."

"Well you never know if you don't try."

"I guess your right."

"Damn right. Come on let's go talk to her about it." She said while grabbing my hand and pulling me toward her car."

"Ok. I just hope she won't be mad. I'm hoping that she will be ok with me asking him out."

*5 minutes later Amber and Heather arrive at Crystals house. They knock and she answers the door and steps outside to talk to us*

"Hey guys. What's up?" Crystal said.

"Nothing much. But Heather has a question for you." Amber said to Crystal.

"Yea I do. Um it's about Bob...." I said.

"Ok. What about him?" Crystal asked.

"Well are you over him? Or do you still love him?" I asked her as Amber went back into her car.

"I kinda love him. But I am getting over him. But it's taking a long time." She said

"Oh ok." I said "well would you be ok with one of your friends dating him? Just wondering."

"Well maybe. It depends. She said.
