*first day back to school since I went into the hospital*

"Hey Heather." Crystal said.

"Hey Crystal. What's up? What did I miss?" I asked.

"You have missed a lot. We had a blackout and we got to leave early and we don't even have to make this day up at the end of the year!" Crystal exclaimed.

"Wow. Well I haven't been here in a little over a week and I don't have to make any of it up." I said mocking her.

"Right, but you missed a lot of tests, quizzes, and homework. Hah. And you have to do those."

"I know I have to do those. And that is why I am going this way with you, we're going to the same class because I need to talk to him about my missing work."

"Oh ok. Well good luck, he's not in a good mood today I heard."

"Oh. Well I'm still going to ask so I can get to work right away."

"Ok. Bye."

"Bye."

*at home after school*

"Hey mom I'm home! I got my work that I didn't get because I was in the hospital. And I'm going to the library to work on it now. Love you. I'll see you when I get back." I said to my mom.

"Ok honey, love you too. Remember don't fool around and stay at the library unless your coming home." She replied. I walked to the library and none of my friends were there. So I went up to the front desk and asked for a study room so I could work on my school work in peace, they said yes and gave me the key. I walked over there and i hurriedly got into the room and closed the door so no one would distract me, I put headphones in my ears and put the plug in my pocket not plugged into anything so that if there's a knock at the door I can pretend to not hear them. By the time the library was closing I was still there and I had gotten through a quarter of the work I needed to get done.

I walked home, and when I got to the corner of my street, I saw them. The 4 people I wanted to see the least. I would do anything to get away from them, but I know that's not an option. They are the people that have been bullying me since I was in 7th grade. They are the reasons for my bruises and cuts. They are the reason I am so jumpy all the time. They are the reason that I don't talk much. They saw me and they ran over to me, they pinned me down and punched me in the stomach a few times so I would stay down, then they let go of me knowing that I wouldn't be able to move because of the pain. They kick my ribs, stomach, head, and my legs. They almost broke my leg this time because they show no mercy. The only reason they didn't break my leg is because Lew ran over and told them that if they didn't leave me the hell alone that he was calling the cops and that he has people at the end of the street that could help him beat the shit out of them so bad that they wouldn't want to be alive anymore and they would wish they had never met me. After they heard that they ran off into the woods.

"Heather! Are you ok?" He asked me.

"Yea. I-i think so..." I replied.

"I'm calling amber. I saw where they went and I know she will be over here soon if I tell her what happened."

"Ok... Go ahead and call her. She actually isn't that far from here."

"Oh. Then she's gonna be here in less time than I thought."

He called Amber and told her what happened and that he knows where they went, she got here in about a minute because she drove and she was a few blocks away.

"Where the hell are they? I'm here and I got my fucking baseball bat." She said.

"They went that way" lew said, pointing to a blue house with the windows all shut and the door has a sign that says "go away". Amber went to the door and pounded on it like she was the freaking FBI.

"OPEN THE MOTHER FUCKING DOOR BEFORE I KICK THE DAMN THING DOWN" she yelled. They opened the door and asked what she wanted and she walked right in and asked if they were the mother fuckers that beat me up, they ran. Amber chased them all down and beat the shit out of them with a baseball bat.

"Yay go Amber!" Lew yelled. Later that day we sat in the library and we played truth or dare.

"Heather, truth or dare?" Amber asked.

"Dare." I said confidently.

"I dare you to go outside by the flag pole and sing 'don't speak' the glee version." Amber said.

"Ok." I walked outside and sang the song, people started to crowd around me as I sang "it looks as though your letting go, and if it's real well I don't want to know...." I sang that, then Lew came over to me and sang along "don't speak! I know just what your saying. So please stop explaining, don't tell me cause it huuuurtttss!!" And a minute and a half later it was over and the people were still crowded around us. I felt the need to explain me just randomly singing by the flag pole outside of the library, so I said "Sorry people, I was dared to sing that song, and he just joined in, I don't know why though."

"Don't be sorry. Your an awesome singer" a stranger piped up.

"No she's not. She sucks and she shouldn't be allowed to go outside where we can see or hear her for our safety. One look at her and we could go blind because of how ugly she is. If we hear her we will go deaf because of the horrible sounds coming from her. Heather, just do all of us a favor and go die in a hole." A popular bitch from my school said.

"And who are you to say such things about her? Huh? She is human same as you, and same as me. The fact that you said that, if she did end up dead in a hole, you could be in a lot of trouble with the law." The stranger piped up again after he saw me crying and hugging lew.

"She won't die. I already know that. Besides, I won't get in trouble because I know all of the police officers around here and they love me and my family. They wouldn't let me get in any trouble. Once they see its me, they will let me go free."

"Oh just shut the fuck up before I get my baseball bat out of my car and beat you with it you stupid bitch!" Amber yelled.

"Amber, calm down baby. It'll be ok. We all just need to ignore her." Roman said, walking from the front door of the library over to us.
