THIRD PERSON POV
y/n giggled as nick failed to back chris' obnoxious truck into a parking space, rolling his eyes and attempting again, finally getting it into the spot after five tries.
"i don't fucking understand why chris has to drive such a big ass truck or why he demands i drive it to every one of his games." nick whined, climbing out as y/n did the same, laughing at her best friend and boyfriend's brother grumbled to himself about chris.
"i don't either but chris said he fell in love with it when he saw it at the dealership."
"i hate that stupid fucking truck." nick grumbled again, shoving his hands into the pockets of his cargos pants, one of chris' old hockey jersey thrown on over a hoodie, y/n wearing practically the same outfit, however the jersey she wore was chris' current spare jersey.
"i hope chris tries to not get benched for majority of today's game. according to matt, last game chris was benched four times and then taken off for the rest of the game." y/n laughed, handing her ticket to the woman working the booth, nick doing the same before y/n took a sharp right, walking down the changing rooms to wish chris and matt luck for today's game.
"fuck it smells so bad." nick whined again, covering his nose as the pair walked down the halls of changing rooms, the smell of sweat and body odour filling their noses.
"you have the chance to see shirtless men, a few of which i know for a fact are gay and you're doing nothing but complaining. do you want them to think you're miserable?"
"bitch i'm not changing my personality for anyone, sorry!" y/n laughed as they walked closer to the last changing room on the left, matt's head peaking out of the room with a toothy grin on his face.
"i knew i heard nick bitching about something." matt laughed as he stepped out of the changing room, waddling over to his brother and best friend, bright pink skate guards one the blades of his skates as he pulled y/n into a hug and punched nick in the arm.
"oh matt! i have a new sticker for your helmet!" the girl exclaimed, reaching into her pocket and pulling out two stickers, a lyrics lemonade one and a four leaf clover one.
"pick one and chris can have the other."
"i'll take the clover, chris can have the lyrical lem one." matt smiled, taking the sticker, walking back into the change room and placing it on his goalie helmet.
"sturniolo!" the head coach called, causing both chris and matt to whip around, facing their coach as he pointed to chris.
"your girl is here, try not to get benched or i'm making oliver captain." stevens ordered, laughing as chris nodded with a playful roll of his eyes, knowing damn well coach stevens wouldn't make anyone else captain. quickly pulling his purple skate guards onto the blades of his skates and disappearing into the hallway, a bright smile flashing across his face as he saw y/n standing in the hallway, leaning against the wall as her and nick spoke. he couldn't help blush as the sight of the massive "08" and his last name across her back.
