One week later
Devin's POV
I threw down my magazine.
"Chase?" I called, my voice sickly-sweet. He immediately stopped, looking at me."You are driving me crazy. Please, go out and do something!" I let out an exasperated groan, running my hand through my longer hair.
He let out a small chuckle. "No can do, I'm not leaving," he walked towards me and scooped me up, sitting down and setting me back in his lap. I let out a giggle, wrapping my arms around his neck.
"Well, you'll need to at some point," I said, leaning forward and setting my forehead against his. He closed his eyes, breathing deeply. His lips held a smile.
"No, I don't have too. I have clothes here, and food. We can stay here, forever."
I started to laugh, but it quickly turned into a cough. Chase's eyes instantly snapped open, concern for me on his face. He straightened up, his hand going to my cheek. "Are you ok? Do you need water?" He started to get up, carefully setting me beside him on the couch.
I sat, wheezing a little. I hated this feeling of helplessness. I couldn't do anything for myself.
"Here," Chase handed me a glass of water, filled to the brim. I took it gratefully, drinking as much as I could. When I was done I handed back to Chase, who set it on the table and kneeled down in front of me.
"Are you ok?" He asked, grabbing my hand and intertwining our fingers. I nodded, my eyes locked on my lap, refusing to look at my boyfriend.
"Devin," he softly called. After I still didn't meet his eyes, he reached up and lifted up my chin, forcing me to see him. "What's wrong baby?" he asked. His eyes were filled with concern.
I sniffed. "I just..." I drew my hand across my face. "I just don't like feeling so helpless. Like every second I'm going to crumble apart. I hate people taking care of me all the time," I sniffed again, tears pooling in my eyes.
He let out a soft laugh, bringing his hand up and setting it on my cheek. Closing my eyes, I leaned into his touch. "Baby, we take care of you because we love you," he said. "I love you, and I always will. You know that, right?"
I nodded in his hand, a tear slipping down my cheek. "I love you too," I choked out, opening my eyes. I was suddenly in his lap, and then his lips were capturing mine. My problems and worries flew out the window as I kissed Chase passionately.
Then I was laying down, and Chase was on top of me. I noticed he was careful to not put his full weight on me, and I smiled in the kiss. He broke off, just to trail kisses down my neck.
"Does that convince you?" He spoke between kisses, voice thick with love. I nodded.
"I love you so much," I whispered, and he moaned in response, his lips finding mine again.
I pulled away, breathless. "So, does that convince you that I'm ok to leave alone?" I asked, my tongue flicking over my swollen lips. He smiled, looking over my face.
"Not a chance," he said, kissing the tip of my nose. I groaned.
"Chase, we seriously have nothing in the house. We need food," I said, resting my head against the couch and closing my eyes. I joked when I felt Chase trail kisses down my neck again.
"Your parents can get it when they come home," he mumbled into my skin, giving my goosebumps.
I smiled, looking at the ceiling. "I'm serious, and you know they won't be home for a few weeks. We need food now." He ignored me, still kissing my neck. God, he needed to stop that. I can't think straight. Chase and I were both staying at my house. My parents were called away on business for a couple weeks, so Chase was appointed my nursemaid.
"Chase, I need food so I can recover." I knew it worked when he stopped, turning his face to look at me.
"Can't I just call Bray to do it?" He whined, and I laughed, kissing his forehead. He was so cute, so handsome, so sweet, so smart, so hot, so funny. And he was mine, I still couldn't believe it.
"I need a few hours on my own babe. Please?" I pleaded, and I knew I had him. With a sigh he heaved himself up, sitting back up. I smiled, following suit.
After getting up and helping me stand, he grabbed the keys. "Are you sure you'll be ok? I can call Bray," he had been trying to get me to have someone watch me.
After watching him fluster around for a minute, I walked up to him and put my hands on the side of his face, giving him a big kiss. "Babe! It's only for an hour or two. I will be fine!" I laughed, trying to calm him down. He nodded, smiling.
"I just don't want anything to happen to you. Lock to door when I go out!" He threw over his shoulder as he opened it. I watched him walked out, but pause just before the door closed completely.
"Devin?"
"Yeah?"
"I love you."
"I love you too."
Then he closed to door, leaving me alone for the first time in several weeks. I let out a sigh of relief, smiling.
Finally. After locking to door, I grabbed my book plopped onto the couch, opening it up to read. I smiled, my thoughts were still filled with Chase.

Secret Person's POV
I watched as her boy toy left her house. I was surprised, he hasn't left her side in weeks. Letting out a chuckle, I pulled out my phone and dialed a number.
"Hey."
"Hey," I spoke to the boy on the other end of the line. "He left and in going in. You can call him now," with an evil snicker I hung up.
I rolled my shoulders as I stood. Oh Devin, you make this too easy.
