Chapter 7

Brayden's POV

My bed is the only place I want to be right now. I crawl in bed and look at the time. 5:07. Jc should be home so I'm gonna call him. He picks up on the fourth ring.

Jc: Hey babe, Whatcha need?

Me: You. I want you. You weren't at school. I miss you.

Jc: I wasn't at school because I was quitting. I was serious when I said I'd do anything to be with you. There are other jobs. I will find a job and I can be with you.

Me: Jc you shouldn't have done that! Where are you going to work!? You just threw any future you were going to have here away!

Jc:You are my future. Come to my house tonight, I'm going to take you somewhere special.

Me: Ok, I'll get out. Can't wait

WhenIhang up I'm smiling. Jc shouldn't have done that, but it does prove he really cares about me. I look around and go to my window. Before I open it, I stop. My parents will probably peek their head here. I told them I was feeling well and I skipped dinner. I took some of my extra pillow and blankets and put them on my bed. They look like the silhouette of a person sleeping. I put the blanket over in so at first glance it looks like I'm in bed.

I smiled. But I won't be, I thought. I'll be with Jc, where I'm happiest.

I walked to the closet and put on my putple romper and sandals. I looked out the window and opened it. I braced myself, then grabbed onto the first branch. I slowly made my way to the ground. I texted Devin.

Me: Can you pick me up and take me somewhere? It's really important.

Devin: do I even want to know?

Me: I don't think so.

Devin: ok I'll be over in 5.

I walk to the side of the house. I wait until Devin drive up. She had her PJs on. I run and she opens the door. I leap in and sit up.

"Drive drive drive!" I say as Devin peels away.

"Where to?" She asks. "Jc's," I tell her. Her tires screech as she pulls over and looks at me, her eyes huge. "Are you kidding me? That's a really bad idea," she tells me. I looked at her. "I know, but he quit teaching. I know it's dangerous, but I have to do this," I told her. She sighs and nods. "Ok," was the last thing she said for the whole ride. She pulls away and begins driving to Jc's.

When I get there I thank her and give her a big hugm "Stay safe. Be good." Devin says through the rolled down window. I nod and walk up to the front. After I press the button and Jc buzzes me in, I walk to his apartment. He opens quickly when I knock. Jc pulls me right into a kiss. Our lips move in sync for about 20 seconds. We only break apart to get air. Jc takes a step back holing my hands and looks at me. "Wow. Can you look any better? You're so beautiful." He says moving a strand of hair that fell out of my braid. I giggle, "Thank you. So where are we going?" He smiles and holds a finger to his lips telling me it's a secret. I groan as he drags me out of his apartment to his car.

He drives, and drives untill we are out of town. He stops infont of this little diner called, The Black Top Grill. It's so cute. We walk in and this very nice lady comes up to us. "Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Caylen. Right this way to your table." I look at Jc and he has this big goofy smile plastered on his face. After we order we start talking about everything. "and I hate my big chubby cheeks." Jc says pinching his cheeks. "Really? I love them. I say kissing his cheek.

We finally finish eating and move over to the couch at the Grill. We talk for what felt like hours. It was only a short time after that, tgat we realized, we were here alone. I walked up to the counter to see a note.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Caylen, Sorry that we have left but you two were just so cute and we didn't want to ruin the fun. We trust you to lock up when you leave. Have a nice night.

I hand the note to Jc, abd he shrugs.

Jc's POV

We walk around and I see a stereo. I plug my phone in and play some music. I bend down and offer my hand to Brayden. "May I have this dance?" She takes my had. "Why yes." She says. We slow dance to soft songs and dance like fools to fast songs. My favorite song, Wiggle comes on and I start twerking. Brayden starts twerking too. We end up having a little twerking contest. She won.

After a little bit we sat back down on the couch. I click on my phone and check the time. 1:00 am. Wow."It's getting pretty late we better go." I say. She nods and we walk to the car. We drive for another hour and get into my apartment. "Here." I say throwing her my shirt. She takes off her romper and puts it on. We crawl into bed. Brayden snuggles up next to my bare chest. She looks up at me and connects our lips. Our lips move unison. I pull away and gather up the courage to say this, "I love you." but by the time I got it out she was fast asleep.

Happy 4/5th of July! lol. Sorry it took me so long and its so short. I have been busy with family stuff. I know its short but I have some things planned. Byeee(:
