Y/n's pov
It had been three days since I had met the Pevensie's. I visited Jess from then on, I promised her I would visit every Sunday.
I walked down the stairs of my house and smiled when I saw my mother in a formal dress. "What's the occasion, mum?" She smiled at me and replied, "The Pevensie's are coming over for dinner today. Why don't you go freshen up." My eyes widened.
"Why didn't you tell me sooner!" I ran up the steps tripping a little and grabbed a nice blue dress, a pearl necklace, white stockings, a black hair ribbon, and a pair of black mary janes before setting them on the bathroom countertop and jumping in the shower.
After I got out, I blow dried my hair, unwrapped my towel that covered my body and changed into the outfit I had picked out. I walked down the stairs hoping our guests hadn't arrived, I let out a sigh of relief when I saw just my mum.
"Hey mum?" She turned her head to me, but kept her gaze on the food she was cooking, "Yes dear?" I made my way over to her. "Could I help make dinner or perhaps dessert?" She smiled, "You could make the Turkish delight."
I nodded, Edmund in the back of my mind when she mentioned his favorite dessert. I went through the cabinets and the refrigerator for the ingredients, smiling all the while.

2 hours later
—————————————————-I finished the Turkish delight and all the dinner foods were in the oven to stay warm. I had taste tested the Turkish delight and it tasted amazing, if I do say so myself!
I heard a light knock on the door and I started setting the food in the middle of the table. Thankfully, the table was already set with plates, so it didn't take too long. My mom rushed over to the door and let the Pevensie's in.
"Helen! How are you, dear?" The woman's face lit up as she saw my mum, they must've been really good friends.
"Eleanor! I'm great, thank you! These are my children, Peter is the oldest, then there's Susan, Edmund, and my youngest, Lucy." She smiled as she pointed to each of her children. I smiled as my mother introduced me to Helen, but I soon got distracted when I felt someone staring.
I turned my gaze to Edmund and my face started heating up, he wore a white button-down dress shirt and a pair of navy blue slacks, no tie and no blazer, it fit him perfectly. I started blushing even more when I noticed he was also staring at me and I quickly turned away, his siblings giggling.
"Well! Let's all eat before the food gets cold!" We all took our seats. On the right side of the table sat my mother, Helen, and Lucy, on the left was Peter, Edmund and then me, and at the end of the table was Susan she sat closest to Peter and my mother. We all started digging into the turkey, mashed potatoes and other foods on the table.
I looked over at Edmund and watched as he piled his plate with Turkish delight, turkey, corn, and a bread roll. I laughed and he looked at me. "What?" He smirked while taking a bite of his bread. "Half your plate is Turkish delight!" I started laughing even harder and he started to laugh along as well.
"To be fair, it's not everyday when you get to have homemade Turkish delight!" I smiled, "You know, I actually made it." His eyes widened. "What? No way!" Peter looked over at us and smirked, "Look at you two, you're practically married! You're even in matching outfits!" Edmund and I blushed.
"Shut up, Peter!" We both said in unison. As the dinner went on, so did the conversations. We were all enjoying eachothers company, when Helen brought something up.
"So Y/n, you and my son seem to get along well. Are you two dating?" Susan and Lucy started to giggle as me and Edmund blushed madly, "Um, no Mrs.Pevensie. We're just good friends." Edmund looked away from me, he looked a little upset.
Helen and my mother looked at eachother. "Oh come on, dear! Why don't the both of you go on a date! You might have fun!" I choked on my water when she said that, Peter and mum started to laugh, the rest of the table seemed concerned for me.
Edmund patted my back, he was still blushing from our pushy parents. "If you guys stop talking about Edmund and I then I might consider this idea of yours." Mum and Helen squealed and started to cheer, Lucy joined in with them.
Edmund smiled and while everyone was distracted whispered in my ear, "You know, that's not such a bad idea." I smiled and whispered back. "I agree, Ed. Maybe we could go to the theater with Jess and Peter." We smiled at eachother once more, before our mothers stood up.
"It's time to go back home, kids." Helen spoke. The siblings sighed and stood up, walking to the door. The Pevensie children all hugged me goodbye, Edmund coincidentally being the last.
I hugged him the longest savoring his sweet pine smell mixed with the scent of fresh snow. "Goodbye, everyone! Get home safe!" My mother shouted as they headed down the hill. They all left and you and your mother picked up the dirty dishes and washed them.
While putting them away your mum broke the silence, "Y/n. Do you like Edmund?" I blushed a little, smiling as I heard his name. "I wish I could say no." She frowned a little at this. "Why is that, dear?"
"Well, I've only known him for a couple of days..." Mum set the last dish on the towel by the sink. "Sweetheart, it's ok to like someone you just met. Just don't rush yourself into a relationship, okay?" She walked up to me setting her hand on my cheek.
"Yes, mum. Thank you." I smiled and yawned. "Of course, dear. Now go on! Off to bed!" She shooed me off and I made my way upstairs. I walked in my room and changed into one of my favorite nightgowns, got under the covers, and grabbed Narnia off my nightstand.
I read two chapters, before setting it aside. I turned off my nightstand and drifted off to sleep.
