Chapter 22- Why Does My Heart Cry?

Edmund's pov

"Y/n, Evie, Hattie, Pedro, and Henry have all found someone in the woods so far." Agatha called to the crowd of students. "Only four contestants have collected blood." I watched as the witch next to Agatha whispered in her ear, telling the headmistress what she saw through her glass ball. The witch's third eye stared at the glowing globe with anticipation, gaining each and every detail.

I sighed, "How do you think she's doing?"
I said, looking over at Edwin, Brian, and Remus.
"Who?" Remus smirked.
I glared at him while Brian and Edwin smiled at me. "You know who."
He bumped his shoulder into mine,
"I'm sure Y/n is alright, Eddie. We all saw how well she did in the first challenge." I nodded.

Edwin then tapped on my shoulder.
His hands sparkled slightly as he used his power to communicate through them, "The witch said she has a injury in her shoulder."
My eyes widened and I looked back from Edwin to the witch.
"Wha— You can see what's in the globe?"

He shook his head, "She's using witch sign language to get answers from it."
I nodded for him to continue.
"Her injury is closed off so she'll be ok, but she is with a badly injured man. The witch doesn't believe he'll make it," He pauses, reading the witch's hand motions, "The man is Pedro Ladrón."

Remus eyed us curiously, "You mean, the guy she fought in the first trial?" Remus questioned. I hit him in the back of the head. Edwin nodded and continued, "Henry is the one that hurt Pedro. Although, the witch cannot see how it happened. It must've been an accident because he has formed an alliance with Y/n and Pedro."
I watched as Edwin looked to our left.
Following his vision, I saw Marie biting at her thumb anxiously.

"Do you want to tell her all this, Winnie?"Remus asked. "We won't stop you. Just try not to upset her, okay?"
He nodded, before walking off to where Marie and her friends stood.
Remus placed his arm over my shoulders.

"Pedro will make it, right?"
"Why?" I smirked slightly.
Remus blushed slightly, "Shut up! You know I like someone from Hogwarts!"
I laughed, "I know, Remus Black."
His blush turned a deep red.
"How do you know his last name!"
He tried to punch my shoulder.
"A magician never reveals his secrets!"
I dodged.

Pedro's pov

We've been walking all day, the sun is setting. My body is aches for a break.
"How are you doing back there, Pedro?"
Y/n called back to me. S
he was walking ahead of Henry and I to keep an eye out. "I'm alright," I paused eyeing the dark clouds ahead of us, "Zeus, on the other hand, seems upset."

Y/n looked towards the sky.
"Shit" She mumbled, looking at our surroundings for shelter.
"There's a cave! Right over there!" Henry exclaimed. We started to speed off toward the cave as rain started beating down on us.
Every movement sent shots of pain throughout my neck.

"Great. Now we can't even start a fire!" Y/n slumped down on a rock with a huff.
I placed my hand on her shoulder and attempted a smile. I felt sick. Nauseous.
I felt as if I was going to pass out.

Y/n looked up at me, concern deep within her eyes. "Hey..." I felt myself fall forward as the cave spun around me.
She quickly got up and caught me, wincing when my head hit her shoulder.
"Sorry...I'm just," I let out a yawn, "really tired." I closed my eyes and felt Y/n laying me down on something soft.
