Amy's P.O.V

It's now 20th March. The day of Blaze's spring ball I'm sure the grey hedgehog and purple cat will be grateful that they won't need to plan anything big like that for a while.

I'm so thankful I had someone assist me in picking an outfit - especially so last minute. Surprisingly, shopping with Manic was really effective. I thought back to being inside the store, 'Honeycat'. His responses to outfits had been, "nuh uh" "try again?" "Eh..." "dudette, wow!" They were short answers but were honest without being harsh and got straight to the point.

It's definitely not my normal colour palette, but I love it. The colour is the exact shade of my eyes, but I won't spoil it too much - it's a surprise! I'm not going to lie. I felt like I'd be the emerald of the season with such a beautiful gown I'm so excited to wear it and have fun with all of my friends. As soon as I bought it I couldn't help but constantly pick the dress up from the chair putting it in front of my body while looking in a mirror twirling with it. Now that I have it on also it just feels so magical.

Speaking of Manic we decided we would go together to the Spring Ball as friends. I thought it would help put his mind at ease over Sally. Sally and Manic, I could see them balancing each other out. Sonic and Sally, however, seem so happy with each other. I would never in a million years however ever expect me and Manic together. I don't know, but he's just not my type. My type would be maybe someone easygoing? Energetic? Funny? He has to be able to be there when I need him most without me asking for it. It may sound corny, but someone who could be my hero? Someone that makes everything feel brighter in life...

I then heard a knock on my front door and rushed down the steps before hastily opening the door smiling at the green hedgehog.

Manic was wearing a grey suit with a white collar top and a deep green tie, "wow dudette!"

I tapped my foot impatiently, "Sal! come on..." I called out to her while standing outside her room.
"Can you be patient?" She growled.
"You're taking forever just to put on a dress."
She came out with a blue dress. Don't get me wrong, she looks pretty she always does, but it's nothing special to make me get over how long she made me wait.

I hate wearing tuxedos they are so uncomfortable, but even I was quicker with getting ready. We had a time we decided to be ready by. Why couldn't she stick to that? I kept my arms folded quietly.

"What? No reaction? Like maybe - hey, babe, you look good."
I cringe at the name babe, who calls anyone, babe. My face must have frustrated her more as she huffed, " Let's just go. The carriage is outside." She stomped her way down the stairs, and I followed. I didn't care if she was mad. I was mad too.

As we walked, I appreciated her figure letting her go in first as the carriage man opened the door. I sit across from her before they close the door shortly after us I knock on the wall as if to signify we can leave to finally go to the ball I look at the chipmunk's lips and lean in before kissing her deeply and she returns it closing her eyes.

We're here, the master of ceremonies smiles and clears his throat before announcing our names, "Princess Sally Acorn, Prince Sonic the Hedgehog- hero of Mobius"

We make our way down the steps, and I can't help but allow my eyes to wander around looking for Amy. I haven't seen her since yesterday. The day of yesterday made my stomach churn. I don't like Amy in that way, but even if I did, it wouldn't matter. My brother isn't the right guy for her. It just doesn't make sense to like each other that way. Amy belongs with... It's difficult to think she belongs to someone else she had been my fangirl for so long. At least, I'm pretty sure that's why it's hard to think it.
