The next morning

He could feel beads of sweat forming on his forehead, it has been a couple of hours since he got those dreams recently.

Who was that couple? Who exactly is Alex and Zoey? Blaze thought to himself.

Blaze decided that he should talk to Damien and Alexa and check if they knew something. Especially when Alex and Alexa look similar.

.

.

.

They all sitting at the dining table and Blaze started to play with his food, he think they noticed it but they kept talking. So he stopped and decided to speak up. He took a deep breath in and closed his eyes.

"Who is Alex and Zoey?", Blaze spoke up, Alexa dropped her fork by accident as she froze and looked at Damien and they exchanged looks.

"So Damien, how is the deal working out?", Alexa asked Damien, and they started to talk again, completely ignoring Blaze's question.

Blaze started to get confused and felt like something else was taking over him, just like the day Steve was testing his patience. His eyes started to glow brightly and Alexa and Damien were shocked.

"Tell me who is Alex and Zoey right now.", he demanded in a stern cold voice.

"Blaze. Enough!", Damien raised his voice and Blaze snapped out of his defensive state.

Damien and Alexa could clearly see that he was in shock.

"M-may I be excused?", Blaze asked.

Damien nodded.

Blaze ran up to his room in confusion as his mind was a mess. Just then, he got a text and opened it. It was an unknown number.

Unknown number:

Hey, this is Zara. I got your number from my friend, Laura.

Blaze's eyes widened in shock as he almost fell off his bed and he quickly started to type.

Blaze:

Hey, what's up?

"Argh...seriously... 'What's up?', damn it...", Blaze muttered under his breath in embarrassment and quickly saved her number. "And when did Laura and Zara start to become friends?"

Zara:

I just had breakfast. I just...wanted to ask if you would like to be friends?

Blaze:

Sure thing!

Blaze quickly put his cell phone away as soon as he heard Damien and Alexa arguing. He decided to sit quietly on the staircase to listen to what they were saying.

"Damien we can't do this!", Alexa exclaimed.

"We have to, Blaze just experienced his powers and you want to hide it under the carpet like how we did for Alex and Zoey?", Damien asked.

"I'm not saying that...I'm just saying that it would be really dangerous if he is exposed to everything we have all been through. He's just eighteen! He doesn't even know how to control his powers.", Alexa whispered to Damien. "We are not normal."

Damien kept quiet and looked at the ground, his eyes widened and he picked up his head.

"What if I could teach him?", Damien suggested.

"What? You're going to teach him how to hunt and choose which blood is right for him to drink and which ones he should avoid?", Alexa added sarcastically.

"Honey...you need to let me deal with this. I think he deserves to know what he's capable of before he hurts someone.", Damien stated as he wrapped his arms around Alexa's waist.

"I don't know about this Damien...I've already lost two people in my life...Blaze and you are the only two people I have left...I can't bare to lose you boys.", Alexa's voice trailed off.

"You won't and nothing bad will ever happen to us, okay?", Damien said as he cupped Alexa's face and kissed her softly.

"Okay.", she answered.

"And you can come out now Blaze.", Damien chuckled softly and shook his head.

"How did you...?", Blaze's voice trailed off in shock.

"There's something that we need to talk to you about.", Damien stated.

.

.

.

"Wait...so you're telling me that my father was a billionaire vampire and that my mom was a vigilante?", Blaze leaned forward.

Damien and Alexa took Blaze to have this conversation in the basement in case anybody would hear.

"You seem to have your mother's powers.", Damien stated as he pinched the bridge of his nose.

"What was it?", Blaze questioned.

"Hypnosis, speed, heightened senses, and telepathy. From what it looks like, it seems that you only have the power of hypnosis. Your mother, Zoey, her eyes used to glow just like yours.", Alexa stated with a warm smile.

"Why are you talking about them like as if they're dead?", Blaze asked bluntly.

Damien and Alexa exchanged looks again.

"Stop exchanging looks like I am a little kid, it's annoying.", Blaze stated as he pinched the bridge of his nose.

"Sorry, actually, we haven't kept in touch with them until we had to take you. Especially Zoey...", Alexa's voice trailed off.

"Did she encounter anybody weird when I first started kicking?", Blaze asked.

Immediately, Damien's and Alexa's eyes widened.

"How do you know that?", Alexa asked. "That's one detail Alex always reminded me of."

"I had a dream about them last night.", Blaze shrugged.

"There's a lot to explain, but right now, you're getting late for school.", Damien stated.

"And also, never ever tell anyone about this, Zoey did the same and it got messy for almost a year, so it's best that it stays within this house only.", Alexa stated.

Blaze nodded and he left with Damien for school.

Blaze decided to break the awkward silence between him and Damien.

"Hey...is it okay if I sign up for the football team? It seems like a good way to test my abilities and skills on the field.", Blaze stated.

"That sounds like a good idea, but do you think you can control your powers?", Damien asked.

"Yes, I believe so.", Blaze answered.

"I'll talk to Alexa about it and we'll see how it goes from there, how does that sound?", Damien asked as he pulled off at the entrance of Blaze's school.

"It sounds like a perfect idea to me.", Blaze said.
