Zoey's Pov
"What will you choose?", Edward questioned Zoey.
I remained speechless until I finally had the courage to speak up.
"Fine...you caught me. I would like to work would you guys to take these monsters down.", I stated as I stood up.
"Great. Let's get you ready.", Edward stated as he stood up.
Edward started to walk in a direction that seemed like an elevator and he pressed the button while Sabrina decided to stay behind.
"Follow me.", Edward said to me as the elevator door opened.
I quickly followed Edward into the elevator before it could close on me.
"So where are we going?", I asked curiously.
"We're going to see your new suit, are you ready?", Edward stated.
I nodded with a bright smile on my face. I had to hide the fact that I was terrified, I can't give in to Edward and let him know how I feel.
The elevator doors slid open and they exited the elevator. I stepped outside before Edward could so I could seem excited. I kept walking forward until something interesting caught my attention. Zoey slowly picked up a black corset suit.
"I guess you've already found your suit. It's tear-proof and bulletproof.", Edward said as he lets out a light chuckle.
"This...is beautiful....", I state as my jaw dropped down in awe.
"I don't you would need any training, if you do, just use the practice room on your left, it has every equipment you would ever need.", Edward said.
"So...who is going to be my target?", I asked.
"Your boss. I need you to kill him."
"Wow....the way you put it sounds so easy...", I said as I gave off an awkward laugh and ran a hand through my hair.
"You just need to use the chain that Sabrina will give you in a bit after running diagnostics of the previous person who wore the necklace."
Ah, shit...
"Oh! And how do you do that?", I questioned.
"Using a DNA test, it should be ready in an hour but during that time, make yourself feel at home. I have some business to take care of in the meantime.", Edward stated as he placed one hand on my shoulder and placed a light kiss on my head which sent shivers down my spine.
"Understood!", I exclaimed as I tried to seem as excited as possible.
"Just don't break anything.", Edward joked as he started to walk away.
I stared at his back until he was completely gone. I used my hearing sense to check if he was still there, but fortunately, he was gone. I picked up my cell phone immediately and unlocked it and cussed under my breath as I saw no signal.
"Of course...it makes sense, we're inside of a mountain!", I huffed out.
"Come on, Zoey...think of a way.....", I tried to pep-talked myself.
I quickly scanned around looking for anything suspicious but I found nothing useful except jars of fangs, ears, eyeballs, and claws. I decided to take out my cell phone and take out pictures of everything and started to cringe.
Damn.
I put my cell phone away and started to walk back to the suit. There was no denying the fact that I found it beautiful but put it back down.
