Blaze was about to leave the room when Aella pulled gently at the hem of his shirt and he turned around.
"What's wrong?", Blaze asked
"I need to know something, not that it matters or anything!", Aella fumbled.
"Speak.", Blaze said.
"We're not an item...are we?", Aella asked.
"Of course not!", Blaze exclaimed like it was obvious, he clenched his fists tightly and walked away.
Aella felt a bit taken aback. She sighed and walked quickly behind Blaze.
"Hey, Blaze! Get a chair out for Aella!", Alexa demanded Blaze.
Aella frowned at how Alexa knew her name but she brushed it off.
"I should probably get going. It's a lovely house and thank you for inviting me over.", Aella said as she tried to excuse herself.
"Why don't you join us for dinner, Aella?", Alexa asked.
Aella looked at Blaze and back to her. Blaze quickly averted his gaze from her and to the floor.
"Uh...I should get going...it's late.", Aella stumbled through her words.
"Aella, I insist.", Alexa said as her eyes had a light glow.
Blaze and Damien's eyes widened but Aella was left confused. Blaze then looked at Aella and his eyebrows furrowed.
"Umm...what?", Aella asked Blaze and Alexa looked confused.
"N-Nothing.", Blaze stuttered.
"Are you sure you don't want to join us for dinner?", Alexa asked quickly.
Aella just nodded.
"Come, I'll drive you home.", Blaze stated.
"There's no need for that, I can walk home.", Aella said.
"Your ankle's sprained, remember?", Blaze said.
Aella was left speechless.
.
.
.
Aella leaned against the window.
"I'm capable of walking home myself.", Aella grumbled.
"Again, your ankle is sprained, just chill.", Blaze huffed out.
Aella kept quiet.
"My house is here. Stop.", Aella said.
"Okay...take care.", Blaze said softly.
Aella nodded and had her hand on the door handle and she opened it. Blaze quickly pulled the door back along with her hand.
"Wait...I...", Blaze huffed out and ran a hand through his hair.
Aella kept quiet and kept her head down.
"Look at me.", Blaze said.
"I don't want to. I just want to go home now.", Aella stated as she tried to hide the crack in her voice.
"Okay...", Blaze said softly as he let go of her hand.
Aella was about to get out of the car but she sat back.
"Damn you.", Aella muttered under her breath.
"What-", Blaze stopped speaking as Aella placed her lips on his.
Aella pulled away and tried to study Blaze's expression but he had his eyes closed.
"Stop testing me...", Blaze growled.
